Burgers and Dogs Night

So...off we went to Wendy's for Burgers and Dogs Night out. This was so nice of Wendy's to do. They donated 20% of their sales from 5 pm until 7 pm to our local animal shelter. They also had a costume contest so you know we had to go. Dad had dinner there to help out the animals (and his tummy). They ended up raising $233 for the shelter. The crew also donated a ton of supplies to the shelter and made up a gift basket to raffle off to the customers who came. It is just really nice when big business help out the little dogs.

What? No Pirate costume...nope mom didn't feel like making me wear all that so I dressed as a fairy princess.

They didn't have a bunch of dogs come dressed so they gave everyone a prize. Here is what we chose. See the baby sized Kong for my new brother or sister that is coming soon.

Mom...where is my hamburger?

Then they had a drawing and the first two people that were pulled didn't want the basket so the 3rd time was the charm and they called dad's name.

Thank you Wendy's for helping out the homeless animals.

You look LOVELY as a Fairy Princess. Even better than as a Pirate.
You asked about Puddles... well, there is just NO way to explain that one... you just have to .... experience her for yourself.

Again I am sooooo happy about all the grrreat stuff that your animal shelter got from Wendy's Burgers & Dogs event.
I donate to Perry Co. shelter once a month. I always take a big bag of food. I think I am also going to start taking a few snacks also.

  3. Oh, Sagira, you make the most prettiest princess! And congratulations on winning that basket. It looks full of super terrific stuff!

My mom used to work for a non-profit place and that Wendy's company donated office space to them. Isn't that nice? So we like Wendy's a lot.

  16. Wendy's and other fast-food places tend to be good corporate citizens, at least on a local level. They understand their importance as a community gathering place, and are usually very generous to non-profits, hosting fundraisers, providing refreshments for charity events, etc. They usually keep pretty quiet about it, too -- but this event deserves wider recognition, so I'm going to add my voice to the chorus of praise.
