Mutts and Co

So last Sunday we packed up the car and set up shop at Mutts and Co's 3rd annual Halloween event. Mom's rescue group set up a booth.

Photobucket

They had a great turn out

Photobucket

Lots of cute adoptable dogs

Photobucket

There was event a big walking ice cream there! I was scared of it though and barked each time it walked past me.

Photobucket

They also had fun games like bobbing for hot dogs. Look at my sister Starr get those hot dogs. At one point she was blowing bubbles. See June I keep telling you that you need to move to Ohio, lots of hot dogs around here.

Me and Starr busy working the cuteness factor at mom's booth

Think we are doing a good job Starr?

Photobucket

Lucas and Scarlet were also at our booth. The kids loved all of us.

Photobucket

Isn't he cute? He got adopted the day after this event.

Photobucket

A few more of Mr. Lucas because he is so darn cute and had the best personality

Photobucket

Photobucket

There was also this BIG dog walking around. He scared me to and I barked each time I saw him.

Photobucket

How cute is this little guy?

Third place goes to..... ME! I received a $75 gift card to Mutts and Co. YIPEE! Puppy supplies in the spring.

Photobucket

and 2nd place goes to the banana and they had a newborn dressed as a monkey. Can never beat a dog/kid combo. They received a $100 gift card to Mutts and Co.

Photobucket

and 1st place goes to...the fairy princess and her dog as the frog. They received $150 to Mutts and Co.

Photobucket

Mom really likes Mutts and Co because all the money raised this day was divided amongst the rescues.

Happy Halloween everyone!

Friday Flashback

And here is the second costume that the parents bought me

I'm really not amused here...luckily this costume didn't work because I am too thin. The top was too heavy and kept spinning around so I never had to wear this one out of the house.

Burgers and Dogs Night

So...off we went to Wendy's for Burgers and Dogs Night out. This was so nice of Wendy's to do. They donated 20% of their sales from 5 pm until 7 pm to our local animal shelter. They also had a costume contest so you know we had to go. Dad had dinner there to help out the animals (and his tummy). They ended up raising $233 for the shelter. The crew also donated a ton of supplies to the shelter and made up a gift basket to raffle off to the customers who came. It is just really nice when big business help out the little dogs.

All the nice things that the crew and customers donated to the shelter

Photobucket

What? No Pirate costume...nope mom didn't feel like making me wear all that so I dressed as a fairy princess.

Photobucket

They didn't have a bunch of dogs come dressed so they gave everyone a prize. Here is what we chose. See the baby sized Kong for my new brother or sister that is coming soon.

Photobucket

Some of the other people and pups

Photobucket

Mom...where is my hamburger?

Photobucket

Then they had a drawing and the first two people that were pulled didn't want the basket so the 3rd time was the charm and they called dad's name.

Photobucket

Thank you Wendy's for helping out the homeless animals.

Starr's Secret Ghost

So...mom visits a wonderful Weimaraner forum. They like to have fun and do secret exchanges all the time. This time it was for Halloween and called Secret Ghost. The limit was $15 and we all got paired up with another Weim.

Here is a video of Starr and I opening up her presents.

Starr was being her normal selfish self and not sharing with me. Hmmpff!

Guess what! Mom found my real litter mates mom on Facebook. She sent a friend request. If she accepts mom is going to ask if she can post his recent photo on here for all of you to see. He is so cute, looks like me but a bit more shepherd like so maybe I am a husky/sheltie/german shepherd mix?

Another Halloween event

So Saturday we went to Noah's Too Pet Resort for their 2nd annual Halloween event. It was a lot of fun.

They had a lot of games. The first game was musical sit. Mom actually played with Starr and got to the final 3. Can you believe that? My untrained Weimaraner sister made it to the top 3. WOW...go Starr and mom!

Photobucket

After that it was time for the Costume Contest...my favorite part

Photobucket

Me and my pal Scarlet were in the final 2

Photobucket

and the winner goes to.... ME! I got a nice bag from Pet People, had a bully stick, some Zuke's treats and some other fun stuff in it. Plus a week of dog daycare.

Photobucket

People wanting to take my photo again....I really should be a model

Photobucket

This is Pete the Pet Butler. He is great and if anyone needs their poop cleaned up he is the man to call.

Photobucket

Then they played Simon Says...I didn't play this one, I wanted to give some others a chance to win some prizes

Photobucket

Finally...they did bobbing for hot dogs. My pal Scarlet won this one and her foster brother Lucas was having fun (he is available for adoption through Louisville Weimaraner Rescue)

Photobucket

Here is a video of my daddy helping Lucas bob for hot dogs. Isn't he adorable?

Then Lucas got into some trouble and had to go to jail

Photobucket

They even called in the Columbus police to hall him off

Photobucket

Lucas was such a good trooper (and so was the Columbus Police officer for playing along and helping out our rescue boy)

Photobucket

I also want to send a HUGE thank you to those who read my emergency blog yesterday and liked my photo on the Trupanion Halloween costume contest page. EMERGENCY BLOG!

AHHHHH.....I need some help from my blog friends that are on Facebook. I am in an online contest with Trupanion Pet Insurance. My pirate costume made it in the top 10. The votes between me and Parker and Daisy are SUPER close and I need some help and I am calling in my army (you will be part of my army, right?)

PLEASE HELP ME...I would so appreciate it.

Okay...voting is a big tricky so I have outlined below how to do it if you are on Facebook. Even if your not and know someone who is I sure would appreciate the votes.

1. Go to Facebook
2. Search for Trupanion Pet Insurance page on Facebook
3. Go to their page
4. LIKE their page (usually a gray button at top of page by their name that says "LIKE" click that
5. Scroll down a bit and you will see a post by Trupanion at 6:13 on Friday. They have a photo album called "Halloween 2010 Like your Favorites". Click on that link.
6. You should now be in the photo album with 10 photos. Click on my photo (I am in the middle, the pirate holding the sword, see pic below).
7. Once you have clicked on my photo, click LIKE (usually right above where you would leave a comment)
8. After all that your vote should be counted. You are welcome to leave a cute comment to so I know who I owe big time

Thanks guys....this emergency broadcast is now complete and can return to regular blogging activies. (Feel free to spread the word to help me out since the other 2 Goldens have SO many friends helping them out...help the underdog out here and throw me a bone, haha)

Here is the photos I submitted so you know what to click on

Pumpkin Show

So last Wednesday when Grandma and Grandpa came to visit we went to the Circleville, Ohio Pumpkin show. It was very crowded. We watched a parade, met many vendors, there was a lot of yummy food (and people were dropping stuff all around). Dad kept telling me "nose up". What? Are you crazy dad? Mom had to pull an icky french fry from my mouth at one point. I thought I was sneaky but nope...she caught me.

Hey...someone else is walking me. It is mom's great niece Kaili and her sister Kenzie

Photobucket

Me with mom's great nieces watching the parade at the Pumpkin show

You have to check out Kelsi's BRIGHT pink Converse shoes. haha I needed some sunglasses.
