New Collar

Tempest has a new collar that fits her PERFECTLY. It is a LOONEY TOONS collar, BOL and it is Roadunner since she is speedy like the Roadrunner

 photo JWB_3728-edited-blog_zps91958261.jpg

We love these collars, they have seat belt buckle style closures to them.

Collar made by Buckle Down. They donated over $300 in collars and leashes to Louisville Weimaraner Rescue's Weim and Cheese event. LOVE THEM!

Tempest First Trial

So a few weeks ago, Dadster, Tempie and dad went to KY for a disc dog competition. This is Tempie's first time at a trial and she did really well. It is a whole new environment to get used to with all the sounds and people and she played well. Dadster is having a hard time with the wind and the tiny discs Tempie uses. BOL

This is the second event of the day that Tempie competed in

and not to forget Bokeh he went out and played well. Didn't qualify but he had fun.

This is pairs distance, our friend Chris played with Bokeh as well. (he played better for Chris than dadster, BOL)

and this is Bullseye

I have been MIA

Wow...where does the time go? First off, I would like to apologize for not getting around to visit all of you. Momster is back on mandatory OT and was also trying to get everything ready for her rescue, Louisville Weimaraner Rescue, to attend the Columbus Pet Expo last weekend. Now that the expo is behind us maybe we can try to get caught up on some things.

The house is nice and quite today, Tempest, Bokeh and dadster went to a disc dog learning clinic that our disc dog club, Southern Ohio Flying K9's, was hosting. So Starr and I get to stay home and get caught up on things around the house.

Hope you have a great Saturday!

Week 4 of Puppy Class

We are behind on puppy class updates as well. Tempie actually graduated puppy class this week. But here are the pics from week 4.

Week 4, they got introduced to a lot of new things, walkers, moving objects, balance balls, tunnels, steps. We never dreamed Tempie would have an issue with steps as we live in a bi-level home. Tempie does steps EVERY day. But for some reason she was a bit scared of the steps in class. Took a lot of coaxing to get her up them.

 photo EJWB_3625_zpsa16c6ee5.jpg

But she is a good girl and did them

 photo EJWB_3628_zpsb25e2bfe.jpg

They had ramps and mirrors for them to get used to

 photo EJWB_3631_zps090f1f88.jpg

Tempie was a pro at the balance balls since we have her do the one at home

Got to check out puzzle toys

She LOVES the tunnels already

 photo EJWB_3635_zpsa49a9cf2.jpg

Here are some videos from class as well. This is Tempest checking out and being scared to death of an opening umbrella, oops!

This is an exercise where dad has to walk up to the other person, shake their hands and not have Tempest go over to the other dog. Pretty good for only 5 months old.

And this is practice on recall

Day 3 of the trial

Last day of the trial was all me....didn't get any Q's but dad and I had a lot of fun and I was running really well. Mom and dad are giving me a break now until memorial day weekend. Yipee!

So...at the end of the weekend, I am now a 1/4 of the way to my MACH. I have 5 QQ and 137 MACH points. Goal is to be 1/2 way there by the end of the year.

Bokeh's Agility Debut

So Saturday mom and dad gave me a break and decided to let Bokeh try his agility moves at the trial for the first time. Bokeh doesn't seem to enjoy agility as much as he does disc but they have been working on it with him. They were not sure what he would do at the trial. Momster was super afraid he was going to poop in the ring like he did at the Frisbee nationals. BOL Needless to say, Bokeh was a GREAT boy and didn't poop in the ring at all. He did however, decide to go say hi to the judge and the ring worker. But even with doing that guess who got FIRST PLACE?!?!?! Yep, our little Bok Bok did. Mom and dad were so proud of him. Mom wishes she had a picture of dad's face when he came back to the crate after finding out how Bokeh did with a pretty BLUE 1st place ribbon in his hand.

Thanks to all our friends who made an effort to watch Bokeh's first time on the course. (funny commentary by mom and Kim) BOL

and here is Bokeh's standard run. Little slower but he did did everything dad asked him to do. Bokeh got 4th place in this one and got a pretty white ribbon.

The judge from the standard run gave dad a hard time after the trial and we were packing up. She made a little fun of dad for going the wrong way on the course, haha. She was super nice though and had some nice courses this weekend.

Someone has a few more letter behind their name

So last weekend our training club hosted an agility trial here in Columbus. Normally we have to travel about an hour for our trials but this was in our home town. Friday I had the chance to earn my master agility title in standard (MX) and I rocked the course. I got a Q and 10 more MACH points. My chiropractor watched my run because he was there and said I looked nice. I did slip a few times but that was because the turf was a bit slippery. Looks like my back is feeling better and getting more aligned.

Here is video of my standard course earning my MX title

Here is my JWW run. I didn't Q because I dropped a bar and messed up my weave poles, but that is okay. Mom and dad were really happy because I was running fast and seemed happy. At the end you will hear people still cheer because dad and I did FOUR blind crosses in a row. Me and dadster rock the blind crosses. People came up to dad after and told him he needs to have a seminar on blind crosses. haha.

So now....my new name is: Sagira, MX, MXJ, NF, TN-N

Here is a photo of me, dad and the judge I earned my MX title under

 photo BJWB_3872_edited_zpsd3074376.jpg

Also want to say CONGRATS to my friend Stella and her mom on their new title as well. YEAHHH!!!! Stella's mom makes me the best meatballs. I get them only when I am at trials to make me run super fast.

Oopps....we have been slacking off on the blog. Between momster working mandatory OT, doing rescue stuff, us having trials and mom trying to get everything ready for the Pet Expo in Columbus for her rescue not much free time. Tempest is really 22 weeks old now, but we never got around to her 20 - 22 week photos.

21 weeks (we actually didn't get a photos this week, BOO) but Tempest did some major teething. She was loosing teeth left and right.

First Disc Dog Competition

YAHOOO! Starr, mom and I have the house to ourselves. Bokeh, dad and Tempest all packed up and headed to KY today. This will be Tempie's very first disc dog competition. She is going to compete in two of the easy games. This is a world qualifier event so that is why dad drove so far. Mom said that we get to have a girls only and no puppy day, it is going to be great. Maybe we can get caught up on some of our friends blogs.

Barn Hunt take 2

My training club did another Barn Hunt class a few weeks ago.

Here I am checking out the tubes. I have to give them all a good sniff but at the end I go back to the correct one that had the rat in it. I LOVE this game.

Remember the first time I went I was kind of scared to go under the hay tunnel? Well check me out this time. I couldn't wait to get through the tunnel to look for the rat. I have to check out all the tubes and at the end you can see me paw the correct tube with the rat. This is me telling dad it's this one dadster!

Week 3 of Puppy Class

Mom and dad were running late and didn't get to fix the camera to the correct setting and well mom is CLUELESS when it comes to the camera so she was stuck with how it was set. Sorry for the blurry pics this week.

This week they introduced a lot of new things that are used in agility training. Tempie had this one down since we already did the 2 on 2 off board with her at home

 photo BJWB_3408_zps1c7e6262.jpg

Doing great on all the obstacles

 photo BJWB_3409_zpsb36cd8ce.jpg

Each week a person has to speak about the breed of dog they have. This week was dad's turn. Tempie decided she could play on the board and make the people laugh while dad was doing his presentation.

Tempie started out behaving

 photo BJWB_3418_zpsf2f1b648.jpg

Then she decided she would clown around and play on the board and make people laugh
