Graduation night

So...I graduated from my level 6 agility class. I am not in level 6.5 which is the highest level they teach at our training club.

This is my first run of the night (I am slow moving because this is the day after my trial last weekend with no rest in between)

and my second run

Dad is super happy with how I am running. I am very consistent, but dad would just like to speed me up now. Any suggestions?

First meeting with Bokeh

Mom video tapes the first moments when we met Bokeh. Sorry the video is so poor, not sure what happened unless it was too dark in there. I am meeting my new brother for the first time.

and here is Bokeh at Grandma and Grandpa's playing the name game for the first time with my dad and niece Makaili

Saturday, November 27, 2010

Bokeh is 9 weeks old today much has happened since Wednesday. Mom and dad packed me up in the car with a crate that had a fluffy dog bed in it and some toys. I thought this was a bit odd. We were in the car a few hours and then arrived at this ladies house. There was a cute little puppy inside. I tried to play with him and I scared him. He didn't like me and growled at me. Well, as we were leaving and telling the nice lady goodbye, dad picked up this puppy and brought him in the car with us. you can't go around stealing puppies no matter how cute they are. But dad explained to me that this is my new baby brother. After that we drove another hour and ended up and Grandma and Grandpa's house. Everyone ooh and ahh'd over my new brother. We had a great Thanksgiving there and then came home that night. I will have more pics a little later on. But just wanted to let you know my brother Bokeh is home with us now and I love him very much.

He turned 9 weeks old today. Here are some photos from today. He is standing next to a Kong Wobbler for size comparison.

My Adoption Story

So a bunch of bloggers are posting their adoption stories today and I thought that I would join in the fun.

You see...I came from the Meigs County Animal Shelter. This very nice lady named Lesley

was at the animal shelter to save another dogs life. She was the president of the rescue group that mom volunteered for. While she was at the shelter they asked her if she would take a litter of puppies. (can you figure out which one I am?)

So Lesley agreed to take us. Lesley took us to her house and took some photos. She sent them to the volunteers and this is the first picture mom ever saw of me.

Mom fell in love immediately. She told dad about me but he wasn't interested because we just got rid of our last foster and he likes to take a break in between. went out to the kennel to learn how to microchip a dog. Guess who was there and needed a microchip? Yep! Me and my two brothers and sister. Mom held us all as we got micro chipped because mom couldn't make herself stick the needled through our skin. My whole litter was a bunch of cry babies and carried on like someone was murdering us. Mom loved the way I felt in her arms.

She finally talked dad into fostering me. It is funny because talking to Lesley later on we found out that she had applications for me but told them I was spoken for because she knew before mom and dad did that I wasn't going anywhere. Mom and dad made it official and decided they couldn't live without me. I mean how could they?

And that is how we became one big happy family

I hope all my friends are having a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Lupine Collar and Leash

The nice people over at Lupine Collars and Leads had a Halloween costume contest. Dad actually entered my photo in this contest and we found out that my photo won. I won a new collar and leash of my choice. After much consideration we chose the Tickled Pink set. It arrived SUPER fast in the mail and we actually used it in the 2 Million Dog Walk. Here is a photo of me posing on the bridge at the walk with my new collar and leash. I think pink is my color. They were also nice and sent mom a matching key chain so she has a piece that matches me.

These leashes and collars are guaranteed for LIFE! Even if I chew through it they will replace it, how cool is that? So be sure to stop over and check out some of their cool goodies.

I am also on my way to meet my new brother Bokeh. Expect lots of cute puppy photos soon!

Puppy Up video!

Dad finally got around to piecing together all the video clips he made on our walk a few weeks ago. He wanted me to share it with all of you!

Its right around 10 minutes long so he wanted to say he was sorry for the length!

Also wanted to thank all my blog friend who donated towards my walk, I REALLY appreciate it and hope we did you proud. We ended up raising $240 towards cancer research.

Stay tuned the next few days for some more pics from the walk too!!

Day 2 of the trial

Wow...should have stayed home for the second day. Didn't qualify in either run. My standard run was okay up until my dad about fell over but he ran through it and ended up not going down. Then on my weaves for some reason I decided I was thinking about not finishing them and dad kind of sternly told me to finish them and that scared me. I did finish them but ended in a weird spot and decided to take a short cut and just cut back on through the weave poles and got called for that, I guess you can't go back through them again, haha. Then, after my tunnel I lost site of my dad but did see the "judge" who is also my instructor so I knew him and thought I would go pay him a visit but I guess I wasn't supposed to do that either.

My second run was my JWW. I was pretty tired by this point and moving really slow. Made it about 1/2 way through and then dad forgot to tell me to jump so guess what I didn't jump and got called with a refusal for not doing my jump. if you want me to jump you have to tell me to jump, DUH!

I have a new title!

So...from now on you can just call me Sagira, AX, AXJ, NF, TN-N! I earned my AX title (excellent agility for those who are not into the dog sports). Dad was super happy with my run. Not only did I earn my title, I got FIRST place and was 10 whole seconds under time, which I am pretty slow and sometimes cut it pretty close on time.

This was inside a horse barn so there were a lot of nice smells in there and so tempting to not stop and smell everything.

Here is the video of my run:

My second run of the day wasn't so good. It started off with a pinwheel and dad hates that. He says it slows me way down so I started off pretty slow. Once I got going and towards the end I refused a jump because dad messed me up. So I got called with a refusal and earned no Q or MACH points this run. Boo hoo... There is always tomorrow though.

Here is video of my JWW run:

On a sad note, we found out after my trial that one of my blog friends has gone to the bridge. We are SO very sorry to hear this and have his family in our thoughts.

Tomorrow is the big day. We find out if this cute puppy is going to be my brother or not. We can't wait for "the call".

We are also preparing for a big trial this weekend. I have the chance to earn my AX title this weekend (Excellent Agility). Mom sure hopes I get it so she can stop being so nervous and will be done with my titles until I get 8 more Q's in Jumpers then I will have my MXJ.

More pics!

Ok so dad was working on some pictures from an old trip to the park we had awhile back. He wanted me to share them with you!

This is my pal Ripley..he is so intent looking in this photo!

This is Roan, she is guarding her "stick ball".

Here is Hob, Roan's brother. His mom wanted dad to get this picture after she saw one like it on the internet somewhere. I think dad did a great job!

And of course little old me! Here I am stealing one of the other dogs Sqeakies!

Dad also wanted me to tell everyone that he is working on the video from our walk and he is sorry its taking so long but it will be up soon!! As a preview here is a picture of the skyline for Cincinnati! This was taken from the bridge our walk was on!!

Change in plans? and dad keep talking to this lady that makes puppies. Dad has been talking about wanting a mini Aussie puppy just like Bazooka and Bella that we play Frisbee with. Well this lady has been calling a lot more lately and now I see mom and dad running around cleaning up the house. They are very anxious for this Friday, they get "the call" to see if this is going to be my new brother or not. Isn't he cute? Right now his name is Lane but dad already has a new name picked out. We are just waiting for his testing to be done to see if they think he will be a good agility dog and also to see if he is still available or not. Angie tells us there is only a small chance so we will see. If not, we are fine waiting until March like we planned.

I got some more mails!

Oh my gosh...what a week. Mom told me that I now had a box waiting for me. She said she did what...entered my photo in yet another contest. This time it was with Kong on their Facebook page. Guess who they chose as their winner? ME!

Here we are opening my new box of Kong goodies...

and me posing with my new toys

Thanks again Kong for choosing me as your Halloween Costume contest winner. Now I need to come up with a super costume by next year. I will never have this kind of luck again. hehe

Saturday, November 13, 2010

I got mail! told me that I had some mail. She said that she entered me in yet another contest. This was with Complete Petmart. We buy my food there so I really like that place. Well they had a Halloween costume contest on Facebook and they chose the winner so it wasn't a popularity thing (even though my blog pals RULE and always help me out with the votes). I came in first place for best overall. They sent me a $100 gift card to go pick out some cool toys and stuff. Wasn't that nice of them?

Friday Flashback

So when we were at the store shopping the other day we saw all their dog boots piled up just waiting for the winter costumers to purchase them. It made mom remember the dog boots she purchased for Starr and I and know what comes next. The video of me in my dog boots for the very first time. Oh the humiliation....

Be sure to check back next Friday for Starr's video in her boots. BOL!

More shopping

So after we went to Moochies we headed over to Pet People to get me and Starr some more food before we starve to death...oh the abuse over here.

Look at all the toys over here Sagira

How about some new winter boots? No way...remember when we bought those before and they made us walk all funny? (I will have to repost these videos, they are FUNNY)

Lets go see what is down this isle

Starr! Come look...I found the good isle with yummy treats in it

Nice find Sagira! Hey ma..can we have one of these?

Dad said how about this one girls? This is the biggest bully stick I have ever seen.

We also made a new friend. This pup belonged to one of the workers and kept following us around. i think he liked Starr. hehe

When we went to get our food dad saw another brand of food and had to show us that this is the kind of puppy we are going to get next year

Well...another great adventure at Pet People. The worker guy was even nice and carried the food to our car for us.

Weimaraner Wednesday

Here I am stuck with all these crazy Weimaraners from mom's rescue group and my sister Starr of course. This was taken at the 2 Million dog walk. I can't wait to tell you more about that. Dad is helping me put together a video to show you what we did at the walk.

We went birthday shopping

So the day before my birthday Moochie and Co was having a Halloween event. I got dressed up in my fairy princess costume and off we went. Starr went with us to. It was a lot of fun.

Here we are at Moochies. It is always fun to go there because it inside a mall and people stare at all of us when we walk in because dogs are not supposed to be in the mall. haha

Oh boy, which toy do I chose? Actually...they let me chose about 5 toys. I even got one of those smart toys that has little squirrels in it and you have to get them out of the tree stump.

They had fun games like bobbing for hot dogs

Starr really liked that game

I even met some new furpals

Shall we get a new bed?

or maybe a new collar?

Anyway it was a lot of fun and I got a bunch of new toys for my birthday.

Monday, November 8, 2010

I got mail!

So...thanks to all my wonderful blog pals I won the Trupanion Halloween Costume contest by receiving the most votes.

Look what arrived in the gift card for Petco. Now we can go get me some new toys. Yipee!

Mom is on Cloud 9...she was talking to Lesley (the lady who rescued my litter) and Lesley told mom that she just saw a recent photo of my brother Milo. Mom was like WHAT??? She found out that Milo's mom is on Facebook and has been talking to his mom. His mom said that I could share photos of her handsome boy with my blog pals. So...without further ado here is my handsome litter mate, Milo!

Doesn't this face look familiar?

Milo was the smartest of the litter

Hopefully we can arrange a play date with Milo soon

2 Million Dog Walk

Just a reminder that me and my dad are walking in the 2 Million Dog walk to help raise money to treat cancer. Please check out this touching video about the walk.

We are still trying to get people to support our walk. Please visit our fundraising page if you have a few extra dollars to spare. No amount is to small. We are all in this together.

I also want to thank Siku and Quinn for jumping in and joining the walk in their area as well.

One more thing that just came in about the walk. This is our friend Signe (in the red). She is the one organizing the walk we are attending in Cincinnati and she was on the news promoting it with her cute Berner. :)

I won!

Gosh...I like saying that. But this time I owe it all to you. Remember how I asked my blog pals to help me win the Trupanion Pet Insurance costume contest on Facebook because the voting was neck to neck. Well, all my blog friends, Weim Addict and club members pulled through and we ended up being like 25 votes ahead at the end and I won a $25 gift card to Petco. SO THANK YOU!

Monday was my birthday and mom entered me in Kong's Halloween costume contest. On Monday mom read on Facebook that I won the contest. How awesome is that? They received a ton of entries and they chose the winner and chose me. WHOO HOO. They said they are sending me some new Kong toys and treats. I thanked them and told them that was a great birthday present.

And if the day couldn't get any entered me in a Halloween costume contest with Lupine Collars and Leashes and they announced on Monday that I was their winner as well. I am getting a new Tickled Pink collar and matching leash.

I can't wait for the mailman to get here with all of my goodies.

So again...THANKS to all who have put up with all our request to vote. Hopefully that will slow down now that my favorite time of the year is over.

But....can we get you to vote just one more time? This time it is for mom's rescue group. VOTE HERE for LWR's video of the cute Weims and help the rescue earn some cash and prizes. You can vote EVERY day!

Tuesday, November 2, 2010

Anyone want to vote for me again? :)

Just when I thought all the contest were over, I just found out that I am a finalist in the Posh Puppy costume contest. If you have a moment please click the bubble by my photo (in the pirate costume). I think I am the biggest dog in the contest. Right now I am in last place. Thanks my friends!!!!!

Has grown into such a beautiful girl

We have been through so much with Sagira in just these three short years. Sagira became a registered therapy dog

She learned to swim

She has made a lot of new friends along the way (photo from her 2nd birthday party)

She has shown MANY of her foster brother and sisters the ropes so they will be great little pups for their new families

She learned how to model

She learned how to be very Sibe like and relax and enjoy life

She learned that she loves the snow

She learned how to play Frisbee

She has explored many places

She has become an awesome agility dog and received many titles in just a short time (this is her earning her very first title ever)

She has met a lot of cool people along the way (Joel Silverman from Animal Planet)

She has discovered her love for squeaky toys

She loves playing in the hose. If this was a sport, she would be the champ!

Most important...she has found a way into our hearts and souls and is the most special pup around. We just adore our girl and wish her the very best 3rd birthday ever.

Photobucket that I am crying I am going to turn the blog over to the birthday girl.
