Chiropractor

So Monday night mom and dad took me to see a Chiropractor. He knew that I am sound sensitive so he did some manual adjustments on them. He also used this little metal thing that goes in and out real fast on my hip area. After that he gave me some super duper treatment and did some laser light therapy on my feet pressure points and then on the side of my head. He showed mom and dad how to start doing some exercises on a balancing disc to help with my problems as well. Mom and dad went online last night and ordered me my very own balance disc as well. I like to do the balance thing because the humans give me treats when I do it. I sure hope the chiropractor can get me straightened out so I can get back to my agility thing.

Trial

I had another trial this past weekend on Saturday. We drove to Springfield, Ohio for it. It was inside a horse barn and oh boy, Tempie had fun trying to eat all the stuff on the ground. Silly puppy.

My first run of the day was my standard course. We watched A LOT of pups not Q in this run. They were having a lot of problems at the jumps in the back left side before the teeter or a lot were missing the last jump before the tunnel. I of course got ALL those things okay but messed up my weave pole enter costing me to NQ.

Here is my Jumpers run. You can tell that I am kind of sore and I just stop in the middle of my weave poles. Some friends came up and told mom and dad that I looked pretty uncomfortable. So they went to talk to the chiropractor and scheduled me an appointment for this week.

We are sorry we haven't been around to visit in a few days. Momster is back on mandatory OT at work and has less time after working 12 hour days, then coming home to do rescue stuff, etc. We hope to visit you all this weekend.

Barn Hunt

So the AKC is welcoming a new sport. It is called Barn Hunt. It is kind of like Earth Dog but for dogs who are too big to fit in the little earth dog tunnels. Our training club opened the club on a Saturday for people to come and give it a try. Mom and dad know how much I love to hunt things so they took Tempie and I to the club to give it a go.

At first they had three boxes with tubes in them. One of the tubes has a REAL life rat in it!

I had to sniff them all real good and figure out that box 3 had the real rat in it. If you watch the video about 50 seconds in you will see me back up and do a stance. This is my "hey dad, it is in this tube" signal and at that point he would tell the judges that is my choice by my stance. Pretty cool huh?

After you get that done then you move on in the training. You have to go under the bales of hay and then climb over the hay to the tunnels and figure out which tube the rat is in. I didn't want to go through the hay tunnel and made dad work at it. BOL

This was so much fun. I can't wait to do it again. Pictures to come soon.

So I had x-rays of my hip/leg area done because I have been a little sore. Thought it would be cool to share them with you. The VET called today and told mom the radiologist didn't see anything abnormal on my x-rays. So mom is now talking to a chiropractor to see if anything needs to be done there. Hopefully they will me straightened out. BOL (get it?)

Happy Valentine's Day

VET

So lately I have been a little sore in my right hip/leg area. I had a trial this past weekend and some people told mom I was jumping a little funny. Mom spoke to a chiropractor and he wanted to take me in for some x-rays just to make sure nothing serious was going on first. Mom took me yesterday to the vet to have an x-ray done. Mom laughed at me because when they stuck that thermometer up my bootie I kept squeezing my butt to try to get it out. My tail was going up, down, up, down. Everyone thought it was so funny.... except ME of course. Anyway, they put me on this x-ray machine and took some x-rays of my hip/leg area. The vet looked at it and didn't see anything abnormal but is sending it to a radiologist to read. Should know more about my x-rays in a couple of days. Mom had them put them on a CD for me. I will see if I can figure out how to post them on here so you can see my bones.

Tempest had to go to the vet to. She got her 3rd set of puppy shots and is up to 14.2 pounds now. She is growing like a little weed. She had to kiss the vet and all the vet techs. BOL

Another Trial

We packed up and went back to Zanesville yesterday for another agility trial. This one was super fun because our furiends Frankie and Ernie came to cheer me on today. They got to meet my sister Tempie to. Frankie's mom took all the pics so will hopefully share them with you soon.

My back leg has been feeling a little sore so dad tried to take it easy on me. Guess mom said I am going to the VET today to have an x-ray done to try to find out what is going on with my back leg.

My standard run was beautiful but dad try to push me and got too far ahead of me and I therefore dropped my last bar. Other than that my run was beautiful (so mom says).

and then we moved over to JWW and Frankie and Ernie were there to cheer me on so I got another Q, yippee!

Frankie and Ernie also gave me a bag of goodies. I will take video and get that posted soon of us checking out all our new goodies.

New Toy

Our great friends Maggie and Stella (and their mom Dianne) got Tempest a new "Welcome to the family" toy. Aren't they just great friends? We just love them to pieces.

Private Lesson

This past Saturday mom and dad took Bokeh to Ostrander, Ohio for a private lesson at Dogwood. Bokeh does agility but his heart just isn't in it. The parents want to see if anyone can help them show Bokeh how much agility can be. We know he has the drive to play because he does so well with disc. So...the lady (Sally) at Dogwood told mom and dad some things to try to help build up his speed, confidence and will be FUN for him.

They have decided to make the disc his reward in the agility ring to see if this will help him out. Yesterday I must say he did seem to have fun in the agility training building for once.

Who needs to watch the puppy bowl?

Who needs to watch the puppy bowl when we have our own real life puppy match. Last Friday night at agility run through Tempest's breeder brought Tempie's mom, dad and 2 of her sisters. Her other sister Jerica showed up to play as well. It was a family reunion.

Puppy Playdate

Last weekend Tempest's sister was at the training club. Tempie and her sister, Jerica, played for two HOURS non-stop.

We realized that her sister has a white mark on her opposite hip just like Tempie has. How cute. :)
