Also, just an update on Bokeh. He went to Chicago this weekend with our friend Matt for a conformation show. I guess before the show they introduced him to dock diving and he was swimming. Mom and dad are SO sad that they missed seeing him swim for the first time but Matt told us he has video for us. After that Bokeh got a bath and all cleaned up and went into the show ring. He came out with BEST OF BREED PUPPY class! WHOO HOO....go Bokeh. We also want to congratulate Matt and his Aussie Bazooka on their MAJOR score of Best of Opposite Sex for the entire show. One last thing...guess who won Best of Show???? Bokeh's daddy, Chase!!!!!! How cool is that? The wigglebutts had a great day at the show.

Bokeh's training week 2

So this is a little late. Bokeh had his second week of puppy class 2 weeks ago. This past weeks class got canceled due to the weather. Bokeh has been having a lot of fun. He has been doing really well in the tunnel, he loves the Buja board and is fearless on it. He also has no problems with the chute. In this class they opened and umbrella in front of him and got him used to something that looks different. He didn't seem to be phased by that either. They did tunnel work, chute work, Buja board, downs on the table. He practiced his accordion downs as well as around. His trick to learn this week is wave and he is already catching onto that as well. He is such a smart puppy...kind of scary.

Friday Flashback

This is the last in this series of the Flashback photo shoot. Number 8!

Sad news

Yesterday my mom received a message that she has been dreading. Her good friend's Weimaraner, Blue, passed away. Blue hasn't been doing very well and it was his time. I know his mom and dad kept him comfortable as long as they could. Blue is a very special boy and our hearts go out to their family. Please stop by his sister's, June's blog and give them warm wishes during this difficult time.

Rest in peace sweet Blue

Bokeh is 17 weeks old

Wow...yet another week has passed. Bokeh is now 17 weeks old. He is super smart and such a good puppy. Mom told me that Bokeh is going away this weekend. He is going to a dog show with our friend Matt so that his breeder can show him. He is going to get a bath and a hair cut. hahaha sorry bro!

Happy Birthday Harley!

Happy Birthday to my brother Harley. Mom and dad adopted him when he was 6 months old so they don't know his exact birthday but sometime in January he turned 13. He still acts like he is 2 though. He is a very good boy.

Bokeh's First Frisbee event

So yesterday Bokeh went with daddy to Milford, Ohio for his first ever disc dog event. Dad wanted to take Bokeh just to get him used to the environment and to make it a fun thing for him. Bokeh went out and had a great time. The first step in teaching a disc dog is to do fun little "rollers" for them. This is the step that Bokeh is on right now. His goal is to be actually catching the discs by the next event in March.

Dad should have trimmed the hair on the bottom of his feet he was slipping and sliding all over the place. hehe

Here is a video of Bazooka and her dad Matt. He is a professional disc dog guy. Bazooka is from the same breeder as my brother Bokeh. She is still a puppy to. This is her first time doing a freestyle routine.

Buddy won best Freestyle at the competition and Bazooka won best toss and catch. Congrats to Matt and his pups!

Missing my brother

Today was very strange. Dad got up super early (like 5 am). He started packing up leashes, bottle of water, water bowl, etc. Then around 6 am dad's friend Matt (who has the mini Aussies and does Frisbee) pulled in the driveway. Then you will not believe this....off dad went with Bokeh and NOT ME! Can you believe that? He just left me here with mom. Dad has been gone all day and I miss my brother. I have been doing nothing but sleeping all day. Mom explained to me that Bokeh went with dad to his first ever Frisbee competition. Dad doesn't expect Bokeh to earn anything he just wanted to take him to get him out on the field to play and get used to the different environment. Mom's phone has been dinging away today and mom told me that Bokeh had two awesome times on the field. He was the youngest one there today. Will post videos later...off to sleep some more and wait for brother Bokeh to return.

Oh...another thing. While we were doing nothing today (since mom is still trying to feel better) there was a rescue show on TV. Today's rescue was Husky Camp. I thought with all my Sibe friends I would see if anyone has heard about Husky Camp before? It is a rescue for you beautiful Sibes and seems like they do a great job trying to rehome so many of the huskies in need. They sure do have some beautiful pups for adoption. You can see them HERE

MIA

Sorry we have been MIA. My mom ended up in the hospital. I didn't get to see her for 3 days. I was so sad without her here with me. When she walked in today I smiled SO big at her. Starr was beyond excited to see her and will not leave her side now. Bokeh was jumping up on her.

Hope to get caught up soon. Missed all of you!

Friday Flashback

Part 6 in my Friday Flashback series

Bokeh in training

So...we received sad new that our training club didn't have enough puppies join to do a puppy class this time around (just our luck). So...we had to kind of scramble to find Bokeh a new puppy class. We decided to take him to Jenn Crank's place called IncrediPaws. She teaches the Linda Mecklenburg handling system as well. We called and she had classes that started last Thursday. We drove through a huge snow storm to get there. There were only 4 puppies that showed up because of the weather.

Bokeh had so much fun working one on one with dad.

They also had him working on the buja board. He jumped right on it and wasn't scared at all. Our instructor told us we have a "fearless puppy".



Lastly then introduced him to the chute as well. They kept everything short, sweet and fun. Bokeh went through 2 whole string cheese sticks. haha

Weimaraner Wednesday

My mom is still pretty sick. She had to go to Urgent Care today. They tell her that she has a very nasty case of bronchitis and now has pleurisy and/or chest wall pain. She has already been through one round of steroids and antibiotics and is now on round 2. She could use some purrs and crossed paws sent her way.

Frisbee time

Dad took us out to play Frisbee. It was so much fun!

Shopping

Something very nice happened the other day. We received a card in the mail from one of the homes we adopted one of my foster sister's (Macey) out to. They sent us a card with a lot of updates. She has a new sister named Noel now. They also sent us $20 for Christmas to go out and buy some new toys. How nice was that? We have placed our fosters in the best homes ever.

So mom and dad took us over to Petco

We finally decided on a new soft bite Frisbee for Bokeh and a big squeaky toy that had like 6 squeakers...you know how much I love them.

Starr couldn't wait to see what we brought home



Thanks again to my previous foster sister, Lacey, and her family for the new toys. We love them!

Bokeh is 15 weeks old

Seems like just yesterday that I posted he was 14 weeks old. Where are all of these weeks going? Bokeh is now 15 weeks old. He is going with my daddy to a dog show at the end of the month. We found out that Bokeh's daddy, Chase, will be there so he will get to meet his daddy.
