BRILLANT K9 donated a Julius K9 Harness (like the ones me and Bokeh wear), 2 custom labels and a car seat adapter. They were so nice about it to, whomever wins can change colors of the harness if they want to. They also set up a code in case anyone would want to order their very own harness. You can save 10% off your order AND 5% of your order total will be donated back to Louisville Weimaraner Rescue. How cool is that? Just use code "WEIMRESCUE" at checkout.
We received a box of toys and treats from KONG.
One of our favorite stores ever donated not one but TWO totes. Each one has about $20 worth of toys and treats in it.
We also received a nice donation from our friends over at Zuke's.
Our friend, Molly Parker does screen printing on napkins and donated some Weimaraner napkins, how cute are these?
and thanks to all our friends for saving up Coke reward codes and mailing them to us we were able to cash in for a 32 G I-Pod touch.
Here is a picture of my sister Starr watching the cat next door
I always liked to play with Granger
This is from his birthday pawty. Starr is in the pic too!
Even my brother Bokeh liked him and he doesn't like many dogs, BOL
This was a fun day at the dog park we had with him. He kept jumping over the walk area, we called him SUPER GRANGER!
Granger was also very good at agility and earned many ribbons.
Granger has lots of friends and we will all miss him very much
Rest in Peace our friend Granger. Gone too soon, but never forgotten.
Mine says LOVE on it
Bokeh's is hard to see because of all his long white furs...but it says "Born To Raise Hell"...yep that one fits him. BOL
Anyhoo, they are a great company. You should check them out HERE
Mom bought Bokeh and I a new collar and leash made by this company called Buckle Down. They are really cool, the clasp part is actually like a seatbelt buckle. Well, anyhoo....they had a contact on their tags so mom thought she would ask them if they would donate and guess what...they sent a HUGE donation. They sent us 14 collars and 8 leashes.
The leashes, don't you just love the "I LOVE BACON" one? BOL
We also received a really nice donation from Furminator. They donated a medium and large Furminator and 2 bottles of the solution.
Also, don't forget about my contest. If you post about the 5th Annual Weim and Cheese on your blog and get us a donation we will enter you for a prize or a donation to a rescue of your choice. Please spread the word. More details can be found HERE
Everyone getting their Aussies all pretty
The ribbons ready to be handed out
Our friend Rachel jumped at the chance to show Bokeh for us since we have no clue what we are doing.
She did a great job, thanks Rachel!
My brother looks like a real show dog, can you believe it?
Getting examined real good by the judge
Up close and personal
Video of Bokeh in the ring and getting his ribbons and plaque
Bokeh won Best of Breed Altered division. We are so proud of him.
Bokeh never even practiced rally EVER! So here is his Rally debut:
Out of 210 possible points, Bokeh got 205. Not bad for his first time and all the point reductions were for dad having a tight leash. Bad dadster! So Bokeh got a Q in Rally and his first leg towards a Rally Title.
After all these events we went to the motel. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper and was ready go home. Mom's friends said I look all husky in this photo. BOL
Bokeh tried to comfort me, but I just wanted to go home.
We also met some other fellow Wigglebutts from the same breeder as Bokeh.
This is Danny:
and Danny's son, Jack. Jack was a big boy like Bokeh
After Obedience and Rally they did acrobatics. This is kind of like Bokeh does in Freestyle Disc but without a frisbee and dogs have to dress up.
This is Wya
Drew
and Cooper
We also ran into one of dad's disc dog friends Tracy Custer. She is a professional disc dogger and she actually works at Purina Farms. She was there practicing Dock Diving with one of her dogs.
This is his second round of Toss and Fetch
Bokeh got 2nd place in Toss and Fetch.
Up next was Freestyle. Here was Bokeh's routine.
He got 1st place in Freestyle. Go Bokeh!
Up next was Distance and Accuracy. This is where you have 3 minutes. The person/dog team with the longest catch wins. Bokeh got 2nd place and only missed 1st place by just 8 inches. Bokeh's catch was over 40 yards.
He did awesome in the disc dog competitions and we are very proud of him.
This was Bokeh's second run, much better now that he pooped! BOL
His third run of the day was in Tunnelers. He got first place 20" for this.
Dad let me play agility to even though I wasn't an Aussie. But we didn't take any prizes since I compete already in agility and most of the people doing it never done it before.
Here is my second run
One last thing I wanted to share with you. This was Drew and his first time doing agility. He didn't want to go in the tunnel and decided to walk on top of it instead.
and was in Indiana (we forgot to get a Welcome to Indiana photo). We stopped of at Indianapolis and dropped off all the Weim and Cheese donations we have received to one of the adoption coordinators for mom's rescue. Back in the car we went and we saw this sign as we left Indiana.
After a few more hours an another potty break we saw this sign
and then we drove through downtown and saw the Arch. How beautiful! Mom wanted to try to go see it up close but we didn't have directions on how to get to it, so maybe we will do that next time.
After about 8 hours in the car we finally reached the beautiful event center at Purina Farms
They sure do have a beautiful place for the farm and event center. So green and hilly in Missouri.
And here he is getting blow dried. He thinks if he gives Kim enough kisses she might stop. BOL
Well, now that we have Bokeh all pretty we can get ready to head out.
Bokeh worked on his weave poles
and some Teeter work
Hopefully things will click soon for Bokeh and he will learn agility is as fun as frisbee.
and those of you that know my mom know her favorite color is purple. As soon as she heard Julius K9 had a purple one out she had to get one for me.
The three of us modeling our harnesses. Don't you think Julius K9 should hire us as their models?
One of mom's friends on Facebook has Weims and donated these cool items. She made a beautiful Weimaraner pillow.
A bottle of Weimaraner Wine
and a little bag of other goodies
Kuranda Dog Beds also donated a large burgundy dog bed to us as well. This needs assembled so we don't have a photo but you can go to their website and check them out. (My husky friends will love the dog on the home page). :) Also, don't forget about our contest. If you share about Weim and Cheese on your blog and get us a donation for the event we will enter you to win either a prize or a donation to a rescue of your choice. More details HERE.
As you read this we are driving to Missouri for Mini Aussie Nationals. Can't wait to tell you all about it when we get back home! Mom is sad because Starr and Harley had to stay home with Grandma. She is going to be watching them until we return.
