Therapy Training

This is week 3 of the Therapy training for Bokeh.

Started out the class by having everyone go around and show the tricks they are working on for the last night of class at the nursing home to make people smile. Bokeh went first and just showed some of his moves.

and then lots of belly rubs and praise

This is one of the hardest parts for Bokeh is walking over food and NOT eating it

He got introduced to crutches tonight (sorry I know this one is really blurry but it was the very first photo of him around them). Notice he isn't scared at all, his tail is up and wagging

What a good boy, Bokeh

Then it was time to greet another dog

Then it was time to swap dogs. Bokeh got to go with the trainer, Karen

Can you believe dad swaped Bokeh for a Golden?

I don't think Bokeh minds...he is getting loved on from Karen

  5. Looks like Bokeh is doing great in class. He will make a great Therapy Dog.
Ryker loves his work days. He reins in his wild side and pulls it all together when we put on his vest. He takes his job seriously.

  11. Oh, Bokeh...I think you get more and more handsome every time I see you. You're gonna make SO many peoples SO happy as a therapy dog!

Oh, and I think it's REAL hard to walk past food without eating it, too. It's kind of a mean trick to play on us, don't you think?

  12. Bokeh is doing fantastic. I don't mind crutches, Youngest Boy Bean had to use them for awhile but I barked at a man in a wheel chair that wanted to pet me. I was afraid of the chair. ~Fenris

  14. Bokeh is doing us all proud. In no time, he will be bringing joy to those very much in need of a silky coat to pet, an ear to scratch, a neck to hug, a smile that says, "I like you!"
