This is week 3 of the Therapy training for Bokeh.
Started out the class by having everyone go around and show the tricks they are working on for the last night of class at the nursing home to make people smile. Bokeh went first and just showed some of his moves.
Some of the class practicing heeling and then sitting
Check out Bokeh's attention to dad
Doing sit/stays
and down stays
and then lots of belly rubs and praise
This is one of the hardest parts for Bokeh is walking over food and NOT eating it
He got introduced to crutches tonight (sorry I know this one is really blurry but it was the very first photo of him around them). Notice he isn't scared at all, his tail is up and wagging
What a good boy, Bokeh
Then it was time to greet another dog
Practiced recalls
Then it was time to swap dogs. Bokeh got to go with the trainer, Karen
Can you believe dad swaped Bokeh for a Golden?
I don't think Bokeh minds...he is getting loved on from Karen
His little King Charles buddy (this one is for you Dianne) :)
Some more of Bokeh's classmates
I think Bokeh feels right at home at training

Looks like Bokeh is doing great in class. He will make a great Therapy Dog.
ReplyDeleteRyker loves his work days. He reins in his wild side and pulls it all together when we put on his vest. He takes his job seriously.
He has AMAZING focus! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of dog is that small fluffy tan colored dog?
Lots of happy dogs in that class *belly rubs*!!
Bokeh - you are such a good boy in your training!

You are a wise and gentle one Bokeh, you will do darn good!
ReplyDeleteOh, Bokeh...I think you get more and more handsome every time I see you. You're gonna make SO many peoples SO happy as a therapy dog!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I think it's REAL hard to walk past food without eating it, too. It's kind of a mean trick to play on us, don't you think?
Wiggles & Wags,
Mayzie
Bokeh will make a great therapy dog!
ReplyDeleteYay Bokeh!
ReplyDeleteBokeh is doing fantastic. I don't mind crutches, Youngest Boy Bean had to use them for awhile but I barked at a man in a wheel chair that wanted to pet me. I was afraid of the chair. ~Fenris
ReplyDeleteBokeh ROCKS!! He will make a great therapy dog. :)
ReplyDeleteWoofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae
Bokeh is doing us all proud. In no time, he will be bringing joy to those very much in need of a silky coat to pet, an ear to scratch, a neck to hug, a smile that says, "I like you!"
ReplyDeleteWow!! I'm sure Bokeh is the star in his class. Look at his attention, it's awesome!
ReplyDeletewow, Brokeh is a super star, I cant believe how he just seems to take to anything he does!
