Happy Halloween to all my blog friends!
So we are on week five of therapy dog training. Class was held at Polaris Mall this time. Normally dogs are not allowed in the mall but the manager gives approval for the therapy dogs in training to come in.
Waiting to go in the mall
Inside the mall waiting on the rest of the class to arrive
Some of the class, waiting on others to arrive
and off we go
Looks like we are going shopping!
Hey dad, do you need a new shirt?
Working on our down stays in the mall
First time on an elevator
Not scared at all
Waiting as we got off the elevator was a lady in a wheelchair. How perfect for therapy training, you would think they planned that or something. But she was happy to help us out and say hi to the dogs
Dad, I think mom would like some new carrots!
Practicing our heeling and sits in the mall
Then it was time to take a break
and try to be calm as children play near by and people walk past
Then another lady in a wheelchair stopped. She was watching all of us and then asked if she could pet Bokeh. Happy to let someone say hi.
Practicing our sit/stays
Even got to go shop in the Buckeye store
It was a lot of fun. You should have seen all the people staring as all the dogs walked past them. It was pretty funny. Class there again this week.
oh wow that is awesome, we never got to go to the mall in our pet therapy class - too cool!
ReplyDeleteWow, it's so cool that you got to go into the peep mall! Did you start your holiday shopping?!? Sounds like you did a great job!

Wow! How fun! And you were SO good, Bokeh. I'm kinda embarrassed to admit it but, well, I sorta lose my mind when we get to go in a store. I'm all, "WHOA! What is THAT? And what is THAT? And can I have THAT? PLEEEEZE????" Mom says we're gonna take a class where we go to different places and I learn not to act all cuckoo-nuts. Yeah, well, we'll see how well that works.

PeeS. So did you get your mom some carrots?
Such great experience for your future therapy boy!!! He is doing so well. Now did Dad get a good idea there for those new carrots for Mom???

Happy Howloween to you.

So great that you're doing therapy dog training! I was going to do it after my CGC, but mom decided we should wait a few years until I calm down a bit...

ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
We know that shirt! DON'T replace it! Walk alongside dad with pride when he wears it.
ReplyDeleteWe got a very cool magnet in the mail today PLUS unexpected treats! Thank you so very much (momma DID make us do tricks to get some)! Next year she is saying we will have to do The Time Warp dance together for treats.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN, that looks like the most awesome class, wish we had one like that around here, it looks terrific
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect setting for class! And it looked like Bokeh passed with flying colors!
ReplyDeleteBokeh, you did good. Mommy says elevators make her nervous, so we are very glad we have never been on one.
