Camp Pawsitive Adventure Part 1

Wow...what a weekend. Mom, Dad and Grandpa took me to Camp Pawsitive Adventure this weekend. Dad was the hired photographer for camp this year. After two very long and busy days, dad now has over 8,000 photos of the camp events. Needless to say, dad will be on the computer more and I will not have as much time to update and check in on all my friends.

There was so much to do at camp. Anyone in the Ohio area, I would really recommend attending this camp next year. They had special guests like Luke who walked 2,000 miles to raise awarness about cancer in canines. They also had Tracie Hotchner there, she wrote the Dog and Cat bibles. They had Mary Cline doing agility seminars and she gave out a lot of wonderful tips to help with agility. She even offered private sessions with the campers. They had Marcie there doing dog massages. They also had fun things to do like Doga (Yoga with the dogs), Agility, Dock Diving, Sheep Herding, Loure Coursing, Carting, Obedience, Freestyle (dancing with the dogs), Therapy dog testing and visits. There was a lot to do and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

Mom was super excited to see how I would do sheep herding. This is a video of me doing it on the second day. Mom chose this video to share because Kelly (lady teaching how to herd) explained her thoughts on my reactions. If you listen about the 2 minute mark in the video you will hear Kelly explain that I was fearful of the sheep. I would act like I wanted to get them when I was 20' away but when I got close to them, I wanted to smell the ground and was more interested in that. (I have to admit, I was scared of those things, they are so big and make weird noises). If you keep going about the 3 minute mark in the video you will see me actually pursue the sheep for the first time.

Check back tomorrow for more videos and stuff from camp. :)

Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

  4. Wow you sure are calm being among those sheeps!
    I would have chased them...

  5. My dogs are JEALOUS they have not got to see sheep in a long time and they love to chase those sheep. The camp sounds sooo neat.

  6. 8,000 photos?! Daddy's editing finger is going to be sore. LOL

T and C say they's is jealous you get to hang out with the smelly sheeps and you's is pretty. Aroooooo!

  7. The camp sounds really good! We live far away from the States let alone Ohio, sigh!!!

I'm wondering how your Dad is going to edit those photos, 8,000 photos, that's a lot!

  8. 8000 photos!!!! Wow!!!! We always think our mum has taken a lot when she comes back from her holidays with about 400 photos. The camp sounds like lots of fun. Sometimes we watch the sheep with their lambs through our hedge and they say Baaa to us, and it scares us and makes our tails go floofy.

  9. Sagira, you have so much fun!!! We love the video and your dad really took lots of pictures didn't he!!! I've never been able to herd any sheep but I would like to try if given the chance!! Lots of love, Holly and mom

  10. Camp sounds awesome...sheep, I am not so sure about; they don't seem very friendly.

  11. Gosh that camp looks so awesome! How fun that you got to see sheep and try to herd them. I did that once and it was neat!

Your agility run looked great! You're getting really fast with the weaves!
