So mom found out that Petsmart is having a photo contest and the winner might win a spot in the new Petsmart commercial. Well...mom has always said I could be a model. So here is my chance. For those of you on Facebook, please click this link (hopefully it works) and vote for me. I am in my pirate costume. You can vote once per DAY!
VOTE HERE
Okay, after your fingers are sore from all this voting we can return to normal scheduled blogging.
Mom and dad have been very nervous the past few days. They keep talking about my upcoming trial that runs tomorrow through Sunday. Mom said I have the chance to earn both of my excellent titles. Dad was curious and wrote AKC to see how I am stacking up again the other "mixed breeds". This was the response:
"As of Sept. 17, there were 13 AX mixed-breeds; 20 with an AXJ; and one
with a MXJ. (no MXs or MACHs as of that date)"
Soo.....if I get my AX title this weekend, I would be the 14th mixed breed in AKC history to have my excellent title. How cool is that? Wish me luck...
One more thing...mom wanted to give an update on Harley. Harley is doing very well in her new furever home. The rescue has now raised over $900 to help pay the cost of her surgeries. Thanks again to everyone who donated. We truly appreciate every dollar that was given.

Camp Pawsitive Adventure Part 3
I also got to try something else new at camp. This was called "Lure Coursing". I gave it a try, but wasn't too sure about running off too far without mom or dad running with me.
This is me getting the hang of it with a good run...that is until I noticed dad wasn't with me anymore

Camp Pawsitive Adventure Part 2
You know I couldn't go to a dog camp that had agility and not do agility right? Dad attended a few of Mary's seminars about agility. He learned a few new tricks to try to help me with some of my areas of weakness. She was a really good instructor. Here I am running one of the courses that they had set up so that Mary could evaluate us. She said that dad and I are a good team and will get even better as we work more together. She said that I am a great dog...didn't take long for me to make her see that did it? What can I say, I turned on the charm. :)

Camp Pawsitive Adventure Part 1
Wow...what a weekend. Mom, Dad and Grandpa took me to Camp Pawsitive Adventure this weekend. Dad was the hired photographer for camp this year. After two very long and busy days, dad now has over 8,000 photos of the camp events. Needless to say, dad will be on the computer more and I will not have as much time to update and check in on all my friends.
There was so much to do at camp. Anyone in the Ohio area, I would really recommend attending this camp next year. They had special guests like Luke who walked 2,000 miles to raise awarness about cancer in canines. They also had Tracie Hotchner there, she wrote the Dog and Cat bibles. They had Mary Cline doing agility seminars and she gave out a lot of wonderful tips to help with agility. She even offered private sessions with the campers. They had Marcie there doing dog massages. They also had fun things to do like Doga (Yoga with the dogs), Agility, Dock Diving, Sheep Herding, Loure Coursing, Carting, Obedience, Freestyle (dancing with the dogs), Therapy dog testing and visits. There was a lot to do and everyone seemed to be having a great time.
Mom was super excited to see how I would do sheep herding. This is a video of me doing it on the second day. Mom chose this video to share because Kelly (lady teaching how to herd) explained her thoughts on my reactions. If you listen about the 2 minute mark in the video you will hear Kelly explain that I was fearful of the sheep. I would act like I wanted to get them when I was 20' away but when I got close to them, I wanted to smell the ground and was more interested in that. (I have to admit, I was scared of those things, they are so big and make weird noises). If you keep going about the 3 minute mark in the video you will see me actually pursue the sheep for the first time.
Check back tomorrow for more videos and stuff from camp. :)

Busy busy....
Sorry we have been MIA the past few days. Dad and mom have been trying to get ready for the big photo shoot this weekend. They have been out buying memory cards, receipt books, etc. I sure do hope they have some people buy the pictures dad takes.
When dad went to Dayton to shoot (not with a gun, with his camera silly) the actresses for the movie he got Grandma to give him the photos she took from the Ohio State Fair. Mom was looking through them and reminded me of this one. I went up and said hi to the nice trooper.
Also, for those of you who helped out the Weimaraner named Harley from mom's rescue, there is great news. Harley was adopted and went to her forever home this week. They were so happy to get Harley and I am sure they will be taking excellent care of her.
Grandpa (dad's dad) is coming to stay with us tomorrow night so he can help my dad take photos at Dog Camp this weekend. I have been hearing how much fun it is and can't wait to go. Dad is going to do some of the events with me. Mom can't wait to see what I do with these sheep. BAAA!

Me on Monday
Just little ol me.... Happy Monday!
Also wanted to share some pawsome news. Daddy got hired as the official photographer at Camp Pawsitive Adventure this year. The normal photographer they use couldn't make it so they asked my dad to do it. In exchange he gets to take me to camp and let me try some of the events. Mom keeps saying she is anxious to see how I do herding sheep. What is a sheep???? Anyone? Anyone? But I am sure we will have lots of cool stories from camp next week and lots of photos. Grandma (dad's mom) is coming for the weekend to help take photos. Wish my daddy luck, this is his first time doing something this big. Camp is actually SOLD OUT this year. They are expecting around 75 campers.
Dad also has his very own website site...check it out if you get time. He is really starting to become more serious about his photography. He is actually gone today doing a photo shoot with some models and actresses for a movie! Grandma wanted him to bring me and shoot me in the studio but dad thought it would be too long of a day for me so maybe next time.

Sagira Sunday
Yesterday was so much fun. Not sure if you remember but one of mom's friends had a heart attack in July. We haven't seen her since then and yesterday mom asked if she wanted to meet us at the park and she said yes. So I got to hang out with my instructor from agility, Stacie and her 3 Border Collies (Hobb, Roane and Morgan) and Meredith and Ripley. We hung out for a few hours. Mom took Starr with us, but of course dad is always busy taking photos of everyone elses dogs and didn't take ANY pictures of Starr or I (pouty face here).
Hobb's mom saw a photo on Etsy she really liked of a Border Collie catching a ball. So dad offered to do one of Hobb for her. This is just the one that mom edited real quick. I am sure once dad puts his magic touch on it, it will look 100% better.
Hobb going after his ball and Roane herding him
Their sister Morgan
and my pal Ripley...gosh I have missed him
Also...we want to get in on the good thing that Pedigree is doing. For every blog that posts about the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive through September 19th, PEDIGREE will donate a bag of their new Healthy Longevity Food for Dogs to shelters nationwide. It's very simple: write a post, help a dog. How pawesome is that?!
Thursday, September 16 through September 19, the PEDIGREE BlogPaws bloggers will host a Blog Hop, to help raise awareness for the "Write a post, help a dog" effort. That's it. Please share this with everybody. Write your own and go to Life With Dogs to leave a link to your post so Pedigree can find it and count it.

Frisbee night!
Another week has gone by. Here are a few videos from Frisbee night. Buddy and Bella didn't get to come because they had a competition the next day and had to rest. So Frisbee night was more like Play with the Puppies night because Bazooka and Bling were the only ones that showed up.
oh no....they are ganging up on me. HELP!

Oh yeah!
Videos speak for themselves....hehe. Dad found that my bumper has 2 uses...a retrieiving toy and a butt scratcher...hehe.
Also...just wanted to say thanks for all the nice words about my weight from my previous post. I wasn't really trying to say I was under/over weight...just a girl doesn't like to show that type of thing especially on her very own blog. Mom feels I am just the right size as well. :)
Okay...on to the videos

Soggy Sunday
Wow, what a busy day we had. We started out in Grove City at Big Splash. They were closing for the season and let the dogs in for a $3 donation to Colony Cats where mom sometimes fosters. So they took me swimming. I ran into my pals Maggie and Granger there. It was CROWDED!
After that we went to another swimming event at the YMCA. Mom set up a booth for her rescue there.
Since we are just now getting home, tired and sunburned, we will share just a few videos. We have a TON of pictures to go through and will post them soon.
Here I am swimming at the YMCA
Now if you want to see something funny you have to watch this one. My sister Starr trying to swim...
Starting to get the hang of jumping in

Shopping
Mom and dad took Starr and I to Petsmart to get some things for us. Starr always has to make a stop at the bird section so we can all say hello to the birds.
Me trying to talk to the nice bird
Starr REALLY likes the birds
Then we had to stop over and see the hamsters
Then dad insisted on weighing me (boys please don't look) I'm so embarrassed. I weighed in at 36.9 pounds today.

Harley Update & Awards
I wanted to thank all my blog friends who sent in a donation to help with Harley's surgery. Mom just received these photos from her foster mom. Harley is doing well. She is being a good girl in her crate while she is healing. She still had to use a sling to go potty outside. We are still waiting to see if her foot is going to gain feeling back in it or if the leg will have to be fully amputated. We have raised $310 towards her surgery so far. The bruising on her body is going away. The swelling in the back has also gone down a lot. If anyone would like to donate towards Harley's surgery fee you can click on her blog or visit our rescue website at: Louisville Weimaraner Rescue
Sweet Harley...

Also...I am totally slacking on awards. My good friend Sam also gave me this award as well. Thank you Sam!
I am not very good with the awards thing, so I would like to pass it on to any of my readers that have not yet received these awards. Consider them YOURS! :)

Frisbee time and some exicting news
Here we are again on another Tuesday. Last week was a lot of fun. Matt has his crew (Bella and Bazooka), Kim showed up with Mojo, her 6 month old Aussie pup Lotus and her older dog Monty. Larry and Sketch were there as well and guess who else showed up! Little Miss Bling (Bazooka's litter mate). Remember I met her at the trial? Well, I actually got to play with her and Bazooka this week. It was so much fun.
Here is Mojo (full size Aussie on left) saying hi to Bella (mini Aussie on right)
Lotus, 6 month old black tri Aussie saying hi to 2 year old Bella the blue merle mini. They are the same size at 6 months old!
And here is old man Monty saying hi to baby Bling
Mojo and Bling
Didn't take me long to train Bling's mom to give me treats did it?
Working with my dad
Check out Miss Bazooka...16 weeks old and already learning freestyle Frisbee with her daddy Matt. Her sister Bella is watching on.
Aussie fun!
Speaking of Aussies....I guess we should spill the beans. As some have noticed we have been talking about Aussies a lot more lately. After mom and dad going back and forth.....mom finally gave in and said I get a baby mini Aussie brother or sister next spring. It will be related to Bella, Bazooka and Bling. Mom is happy and yet sad. Mom found an AMAZING Weimaraner breeder (mom loves her Weims) that she wants to get a puppy from but is now afraid that if she breeds in 2011 instead of 2012 it might not work out time wise for us. But mom isn't even sure if we would be a good enough family because her dogs are so amazing. So...I guess we are just going to play it by ear and see how things work out. A lot can change in a year so we will see. But mom said we have a reservation for a puppy...and need to start preparing the house for an 8 week old puppy again. Mom is super excited that I will have a younger playmate in the house and the mini Aussies end up about the same size as me. That was one of the main reasons we went with a mini Aussie because dad really wants an awesome Frisbee dog and he said an 80 pound Weim jumping off of him would hurt haha...silly dad.

New trick
So after watching Matt work with Bella and Bazooka, Dad decided to see how much I could do. Mom and dad were so impressed. I learned this new trick in under 10 minutes. Mom says I am the smartest dog she has ever met. She tells me I have set the bar super high for another dog to come along.
So this is for my Frisbee training to do Freestyle Disc dog tournaments maybe someday when I build up more confidence.
Notice in the first video dad put me in a stay and my release command is "okay". Even though he forgot to say okay I didn't get up until he did. Sometimes I have to teach dad a trick or two.
and here it is later outside with a Frisbee

Pet A Palooza
So yesterday we packed up the car and headed to Granville, Ohio for the first annual Pet A Palooza. Mom said that Weimaraner Rescue really needs help getting some of these Weim babies adopted out and set up a booth there even though we didn't have a foster she figured it would be a good way to get the rescues name out there.
It was such a beautiful day. It was actually a bit chilly. The skies were so blue. Much better than the 90 degrees it has been lately.
Mom sold a lot of tennis balls, water bottles and crate pads at her booth. Don't think we will get any adoptions but at least people in a new area are aware of the rescue now.
Not a bad turn out for a first year event
Some of the vendors and rescues
Mom and her friend Michele at the booth with Starr (my sister) and my friend Scarlet
Michele and Scarlet went up on stage to talk about Weimaraners and our rescue
Keeping an eye on things
Scarlet with her donation vest on
Working hard for the donations
Scarlet showing them how to do the agility thing
Look who else gave the agility thing a try... MY SISTER STARR!!!!!! Can you believe it? Laziest Weim ever did something. BOL
Dad took me up on stage to talk about how rescue doggies can do anything any other dogs can do. (Don't tell, but dad actually kind of broke down a little while telling everyone that, he told mom that he got very emotional because of all the work he has put into training me and is so proud of me)

Updates
So first off, I would like to send a HUGE thank you out to all my fur pals who sent my brother Samick good vibes and wishes. He has a really good week this past week. He has been eating almost all of his food (without any moist mixed in it at all). He is still loosing weight and pretty thin, but happy to see he is eating better and seems to be in better spirits. We were outside playing Frisbee the other night and guess who wanted to play? The video will show you just how well he has been feeling. He has never played Frisbee before...at least not that I can remember.
Samick plays Frisbee:
Harley playing Frisbee:
and Miss Starr. Starr is so funny. Ever since she was a puppy she just seems so akward when it comes to playing and sharing. Like she never learned and I am not sure why, she had Harley and Samick here to play with but she was too busy bossing them around to actually "play". Well Sagira has started to change that. Starr is actually learning new things from Sagira. It is neat to watch her grow and learn at 10 years old.

Mom had a hitchchiker
Last Sunday mom was asked to assist with a transport for her rescue group Louisville Weimaraner Rescue. This sweet 9 month old was at the local shelter and was going to be euthanized if he didn't get out ASAP. So another volunteer picked him up from the shelter and then mom picked him up to take him to meet his transporter to his foster home in Indiana.
Mom kept thinking about Khyra's mom during the transport since she is a pro at this.
This is Gauge
I think he is ready for a close up now
We wish you luck in finding your new furever home buddy!

I WON!
Mom entered a contest to win a free collar for me from the nice people over at Posh Puppy Boutique. We were one of the lucky winners. Mom picked me out a really pretty collar to wear. Mom was super impressed that she won the collar on Wednesday and we had it in the mailbox on Saturday. That is some super duper fast shipping. They also shocked us and sent a really pretty matching leash. Thank you so much Posh Puppy Boutique. Can't wait to wear it out and about. I might save it for my birthday pawty but you know I will post a pic.
I just signed up to be an affiliate of Posh Puppy...check out their store. If you decide you can't live without something (or better yet want to buy me something special) I get hooked up too! Just click the ad below:
