A few events

This past weekend two of mom's favorite dog events happened. Saturday night they took Tempest to CHA's Picnic with the Pups. It is held at CHA Animal Shelter and they close down the road and have bands playing, beer tent (no we don't drink but lots do), rescue groups, vendors, police dog demos, etc. It is a lot of fun. We went to help our friends at Brilliant K9 (They make the harnesses we wear). They asked for help at their booth and are SO nice so we offered to help them out. Tempie made a great model and was showing off her harness and labels for those looking to buy one. They also had a peanut butter eating contest, Tempie didn't do very well at that, she was savoring the peanut butter, BOL. But they did have a trick contest and Tempest came in 2nd place. She got a new tug toy with a tennis ball on the end of it, which anyone that knows her knows this is the PERFECT toy for her. Sorry, dadster didn't feel like lugging his camera around so no photos this time.

Sunday we went to Pup-A-Poolza at Alum Creek Dog park. Boy was it HOT out. We looked around at the vendors and then hit the beach area. Tempie and I (Sagira) got to go swimming. We had so much fun swimming. Just as we were leaving the news station (Channel 10) was coming in to film the pups swimming. Funny how everyone was following the camera guy and coming in. We got out of there just in time, BOL. Again no pics, but it was fun.

and a few more letters?

Wow! We told you yesterday Bokeh added the NA letters after his name. Well guess what, later that day he also earned his Novice Agility Jumpers (NAJ) title as well. We are SO proud of how far Bokeh has come.

Someone has a few new letters after their name

BOKEH! Bokeh had an agility trial this weekend and did AWESOME. As some of you remember agility wasn't Bokeh's favorite thing to do. But lately he has been having more fun with it and realizing it isn't that bad at all.

Bokeh's first run was his Standard run. He did perfect and actually came in 20 some seconds under course time and earned his Novice Agility (NA) title.

He also came in 3rd place

So....Bokeh's new official name is: Peakview Wigglebutt Fuzzy Blur, NA, TDI

Momster won a new bed at the Weim and Cheese event. (well she was the highest bidder). :)

Weimaraner Wednesday

Thank you again to all our blog friends who donated or helped us in any way with Weim and Cheese 2013. Here is a video that dad put together of the evening. The song playing on the video is Kimber Cleveland who performed live at the event. The rescue made a little over $13,000 to care for all the sick, injured and homeless Weimaraners in OH, IN, KY and WV.

Training Tuesday

Tempest is still attending her puppy agility class. She gets to have fun and just play on the agility equipment. She really enjoys the tunnels.

Starr and I both had to go to the vet this past weekend. Starr went to have her staple removed from her surgery. Her neck is all healed up now and looking good. Her teeth are all clean (and her breath is better to, BOL).

I went in for my 4th acupuncture treatment. The doctor gave me the go ahead to sign up for a few trials in September and after. WHOO HOO! Can't wait to get back at it again. My hip is doing better. He put some more needles in me and gave me a new bottle of supplements to add to the two I am currently taking. I am feeling so much better. I am even playing with this annoying puppy Tempest more.

We have a busy weekend coming up. Bokeh has an agility trial and if he gets a Q he will earn his first ever agility title. After that we are going to CHA's Picnic with the Pups. They have vendors, rescues, bands playing, it is a lot of fun. (Frankie and Ernie, you boys should come!) Then on Sunday is Pup-A-Poolza at Alum Creek Dog Park. That is always a great event as well. So much to do so little time.

Chewy asked us if we would like to do another review this month. Of course we just had to say YES! YES! YES!

Weimaraner Wednesday

So...figured we would give you an update on Weim and Cheese. We had a BLAST! We had so many auction items it was overwhelming. Mom had to write down what row and table item she was bidding on to keep track of all her bids, BOL.

The rescue ended up making a little over $13,000 to care for all the sick and injured Weims for the year. Thank you SO much to all of you who either donated green papers or actual items for the auctions.

So we came home with a Go Pro Hero Silver edition video camera (this is what the skydivers and stuff where on their heads), a new Brilliant K9 harness (for Sagira) that had a new leather leash attached to it, a new dog bed for Starr and some toys and odds and ends in another basket for Bokeh and Tempest.

We had a great time and can't wait to start collecting donations for Weim and Cheese 2014.

July 4th

On July 4th Dublin, Ohio hosts a free Skyhoundz disc dog event. This is our third year attending. We didn't bring home any prizes but had a fun time. Here is a little video dadster put together. Oh....I guess we should mention dad won a GO PRO camera from the Weim and Cheese silent auction. This was his first time wearing it on his head so filming is from dad's view, BOL. Be sure to check out the tipped catch Tempie makes and the little girl cheering her on, was super cute.

Update on Starr

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and good wishes for Starr. We picked her up Tuesday evening. Dr. Knapp came out and talked to dadster and said the mass on her gum line came off very easily (much easier than he expected actually). He also told dad that her teeth cleaned up really nicely. Starr had a skin tag removed on her neck so she does have a staple in her neck from that procedure. Starr was very groggy when she came home Tuesday night. She didn't want to eat anything and was "stoned". BOL. She was better and ate her breakfast the following morning. She is back to being her normal bossy "Fun Police" self again. Now we are just waiting on the results from the biopsy.

Happy 4th of July! We are off to a Frisbee competition this evening at the fire work event (don't worry we leave before the loud booms go off).

Starr needs some good thoughts

We need some good vides, power of the paw, anything you can send our way. Starr has to have surgery today. Momster is a flipping mess right now. Starr has a growth on her gum line. The doctor feels it is benign but he wants to go ahead and get it removed and do a biopsy just to make 100% certain. Starr goes in for surgery at 7 am and with her being 13 years old mom is VERY concerned about her being put under anesthesia. They are going to be cleaning her teeth while she is under as well. Please send good thoughts our way.

Family Reunion

Last month at the agility trial we finished up early so we stopped by the CPE Agility trial where Tempest mom, dad and brother and sister were. Tempie hasn't seen this brother and sister since she was 8 weeks old. She was 6 months old during this meet up. (Sorry the pics are not that great, was with mom's cell phone and well they are border collies and don't hold still, BOL)
