What a weekend

Wow...where to begin. Mom and dad left us to go to Scarlet (my friend the Weimaraner) mom's dads viewing. It was very sad. We just saw him around July 18th at Picnic with the Pups. He had a stroke and didn't recover. Our hearts go out to Michele and Scarlet for their loss.

On the way home from the viewing mom and dad were driving along when all of a sudden dad said, Chris, look over there. When mom looked she said an SUV spinning out of control and going into oncoming traffic (luckily there was not traffic coming) but then the SUV rolled over and landed in a grassy area. Mom stopped the car and told dad to call 911. Mom ran over and the lady driving it was getting out of the car. Mom always remembers them telling you to not to move, she asked the lady to please sit down until the medics arrived. About 6 other cars stopped and ran over to help as well. Mom and dad and several others stayed with the lady until the medics and police showed up (which felt like FOREVER). The lady was very calm considering what she had just been through. She wasn't bleeding and just kept saying that her head hurt. Once the medics arrived mom and dad left. Then the next day mom had a message on Facebook. Guess who it was from!?!?!?! It was the lady that got in the accident. She is friends with a friend of mom and dads. Talk about a small world huh? She is doing fine, she said all her test came back fine and she is home. She said her head still hurts but she really isn't that sore or anything. I think someone was really watching out for her because the situation could have been a lot worse. Pheww...so happy to hear that she is okay.

Okay....so then Sunday. We all got to go to the Park of Roses. It was so much fun. We got to play with Bella, Buddy and Bazooka. After we were done playing Frisbee we went over to the pond. Guess who finally decided he can swim. Bokeh actually swam for the first time on his own. Mom and dad were so proud of him. Here is video of him swimming. Look at his little chicken legs. haha

  5. So sorry for your furiend's Scarlet's family.

Mom and Lightning saw a beautiful Weimaraner puppy at the vet Friday. She was just so sweet and had the prettiest blue eyes ever.

Bokeh, we just knew you would be swimming soon, especially if there is a frisbee involved:)

  6. I'm so sorry for Scarlet's loss.

What a relief that lady in the SUV is ok! That's wonderful she was able to let you know she's doing fine now, with the exception of the headache.

    Wowee, Bokeh, excellent swim job!
