Almost time...

The day we have been waiting for is almost here. Tomorrow, Sagira will be in her first ever agility trial with NADAC. We are very excited and anxious to see how she does.

Sagira is turning 2 on Sunday. Our previous foster dog Lacey was not able to attend the party so her and her brother Baron sent Sagira a birthday present in the mail. Sagira loves all the goodies Lacey and Baron sent her. They are so sweet and have a great family that spoils them rotten (but they both deserve it). THANKS AGAIN Lacey and Baron!

I know this blog is supposed to be about the pups, but I really thought the baby elephant at the Columbus Zoo was too cute and needed to share him with you guys.

Mutts and Company event

Last Sunday we went to Mutts and Companies Halloween event. We hung out with our friends Nicole and Michele and their dogs as well.

I was SUPER excited. I was the highest bidder in the silent auction for a years supply Natural Balance dog food (12 bags). Plus the donation went to a good cause. Mom also won 2 of the raffles (not bad considering she only had 5 tickets in the picking).

Howl-Or-Whine

Last Saturday our friend Michele had an event to help raise money for the dog park she helps run. It was a lot of fun. Sagira actually won the top prize for small dog costume with her banana costume on. GO SAGIRA!

So much stuff has been happening and I am getting backed up on photos. A few weeks ago we went to Lake Erie to visit my mom and dad. Here are pics of the kids on their way to see Grandma and Grandpa. Starr even fell asleep on Jeremy's arm, she is such a silly girl.

Last night Sagira graduated her Level 4 agility class. So we signed her up for Level 5 now. She is moving right on up. Tim (her instructor) said that Sagira is one of his best students (now if we can just get Jeremy to do as well as her, haha).

Wow, so much fun stuff happened this weekend but don't have much time to do a major post so will keep this short and post more later...

Sagira has her last class of Level 4 agility tonight. We find out if she moves to level 5 or gets held back at level 4. I really hope they hold her back. I think she can still use a bit more work before moving foward.

Here are some photos of Sagira from this weekend. We helped a friend at her Halloween event to help raise money for the dog park and they had a really pretty waterfall that we stumbled across.



One of the vendors had this at their booth so Jer asked if he could take Sagira's photo there.

New Doggles

Now that summer is over stores have some cute items on sale. Just picked Sagira up a pair of pink Doggles. Trying to think of a Halloween costume we can use these with.

Lazy day

Weather here is fall like, rainy and gloomy. A great day to be lazy like Starr and Sagira...

We won!

Last Saturday we went to a rescue event. I always go just to help support the rescue groups and enter raffles, etc. I got a call on Sunday that we won the Moochie and Company gift basket. I was so excited. I love getting new things for the dogs.

The basket had a coupon for dog boarding, a coupon to Moochie and Company, a bottle of non-alcoholic dog beer (actually has glucosamine and vitamin E in it), a new dog collar, some biscuits for the dogs and a sausage treat.

Rally Class

Sagira is now in her second week of Rally classes. Things are going well so far. The first class I tried to do with her, but I am too shy and have decided to let Jeremy take over with her. He is much better at handling her and she responds better to him.

We had a very busy day yesterday. We started out the morning by attending a 5K race for Franklin County Animal Shelter. We didn't race, but I always like to go and buy raffle tickets to support the rescues.

After that we went to Fido Fest. Fido Fest was pretty nice. They had vendors and rescue groups set up. They also had a costume contest. I just love this time of year and enjoy seeing all the dogs dressed up. As you guys voted earlier, the banana costume won for Sagira to wear this year.

Sagira didn't win anything (even though she is cute as ever). But....our Starr girl and Jeremy won for best dog/owner costume contest. Starr and Jeremy had their Kansas City Cheifs gear on.
