Day 1 of the Trial

Got to love Ohio weather. One day it it close to 80 and then boom the next day (of course the day we are outside at a trial) it gets down into the 50's. BRR!

Well, the weekend didn't go to well. This was my worst weekend as far as Q's go (0 for 4) however mom and dad are still very proud of me and the way I ran. They said I ran really fast and was having fun. But for some reason I wasn't able to do my weave poles each time. I was skipping a pole. Dad seems to think it was the dirt floor and with over 100 dogs running on it before me it became like sand and I lost my footing. Some people seem to think I might be a little "stiff" and need a message or an adjustment so mom has contacted 2 people that she really trust and has quotes on how much those things will cost.

Here is my standard run from Saturday. Course time was 67 seconds and I can in well under that time. Just messed up my weaves.

and her is my Jumpers Course. Dad was super happy with my speed since the trial was little dogs to big dogs and we were there all day and didn't run my last run until about 4:00. Usually by that time I am slowed down and not wanting to run real fast but again I came in under course time just messed up the weaves.

Any of my agility friends have any suggestions on what they think the problem was with the weaves? We would love to hear your thoughts. :)

  1. We think you always look great out there, Sagira. Maybe you are channeling your inner Siberian need to challenge the rules:) Better luck next time. We know you can do it.

  2. Hey Sagira!
Wow, you look amazing, as always! Yes, you surely are fast fast fast. I can tell that on those weaves your paws are working extra hard and I see little dust clouds, so I think the turf was weird. Having fun is the best part and you sure did that! Great videos.

  4. Thanks for your visit!! I appreciate your thought of helping with money but Tom is a very proud man and wouldn't take any money from anyone!! We are in a bad way now but Tom is capable of doing this awful hard work and it will take a long time but he will get it done!!! Bless his heart!!!
    Thank you so much!!

  7. You did VERY well, Sagira! Sometimes when bigger dogs get moving really fast they lose their "cornering" tightness (like a racecar). Looked like you might be too far into moving forward in the line to be able to turn closely enough to make every pole...especially when you are top speed. Just an observation.
