Harley

My brother Harley isn't doing so well. He sure could use some good thoughts. He has a HUGE tumor on his back leg. Parents elected not to do surgery, it wasn't really recommended due to his age and location of the tumor. Harley is starting to have a really hard time walking around and doing the steps. We live in a bi-level so we can't avoid steps around here. Mom and dad are trying to keep him comfortable but don't want to see him in pain and suffering. Dad has to get up every morning to help mom get Harley up and moving around. Please keep my brother in your thoughts. He turned 14 this January.

    Life with a very senior dog can be challenging. My Nina just turned 14 and has really started showing her age. Fortunately for us she has no known serious ailments at this time other than being old. We will keep Harley in our thoughts.

    We are so sorry to read this, especially after just seeing him with his stuffy in his mouth. We hope he will be OK. Just not fair when you get to be 14 and have to deal with this.

    I'm so sorry Harley isn't doing so well. That just breaks my heart to think about him struggling. I will definitely keep him in my thoughts and prayers. My boys have their paws crossed for him too.

    Sending the strongest White Dog healing energy and strength to Harley. Have you tried having him sleep on a heating pad to make mornings easier? Also, the spice turmeric is an anti-inflamatory try adding a tablespoon into his food each day (we do that for Nuka and Quinn for their leg issues). Keep Harley as comfortable as possible and love him lots. Three of the WDA are over 10, we understand.

    Aww. Sending pawhugs and good thoughts for sweet Harley. I grew up with a dog that got a lot of tumors in her old age (which makes it VERY difficult to walk when their legs are only a few inches tall - Dachshund!) so I understand. Give him lots of extra love!
