Day 3 at the trial

Well...day 3 was no better than day 2. Started off in Standard and I was doing okay until dad called me off the chute (Bad dad!). So I got another no Q in this one.



Then we went over to Jumpers and I just was tired of doing agility at this point and popped out of the weaves and went over course time so again another no Q for me.



Maybe I will have better luck next time. I sure hope so.

Day 2 at the trial

Sunday we went back to Springfield for day 2 of the trial. Didn't go so well. My first course was my Excellent Standard. Didn't start off so well, it started with a pinwheel which I don't like. They are very de-motivational. So...I finally got going again and got to the teeter and Bokeh decided to bark at me and I had to look to try to find him and that distracted me. Then once I got to the dog walk / tunnel discrimination I got sucked into the tunnel. So no Q for me on this one.



My second run was JWW. Something spooked me in the weave poles and it made me miss one of my weaves. So double NO Q for me. :(

Agility Day 1

So I had a 3 day trial this weekend. Saturday was the first day. First up was my Excellent Standard course. You have to watch my super nice call off at the A-frame vs Tunnel discrimination. I received a Q (Qualifying score) and 5 MACH points.



Then while we are waiting guess who showed up to see me. My mom's mom came. She has never come watch me do agility and when mom saw her mom there she started to cry and thanked her and our Uncle Johnny for coming to watch me. They got there in time to see my JWW course. I had fun in my JWW course but didn't get a Q. Maybe next time.

Handling Class

So dad and I have been attending a handling class. This is mostly to teach dad some different ways of thinking about handling in agility. The instructor is Dave Hirsch and he has been a huge help and the class has been very informative. Mom hasn't been very good about getting photos and videos of my class but when cleaning off the cameras she did find this photo and video

I'm off to Springfield for an agility trial this weekend. Wish me luck.

I also just realized we forgot to post these videos. Here are 2 short videos of me in my coat and then playing frisbee in my coat. You can hear mouthy Bokeh in the background complaining because dad is playing frisbee with ME and not him.

Mr. Chewy

So we saw all of our other blog friends doing a review of Mr. Chewy we had to just check Mr. Chewy out.

We went online Saturday around 11 pm and was looking on the website to see what was available through them. Right now they have dog food, treats, cat food (yes my kitty friends are not left out), cat litter, potty pads and flea and tick treatments. I didn't expect to find my food on there because my food can sometimes be a little harder to finder since it is a better brand food they don't carrier it at cheaper places. Mom clicked the button and showed me that they DO carry Orijen. Mom even showed me they carrier Bokeh's food, Fromm, as well. Mom was very happy to see they carried both of our kind of food there. She was looking through the treats that they offered and they offer higher end, yummy treats for us, so I begged mom to please order us some treats as well.

Now mom, being the question queen nice person that she is had a question about her order. She saw a live chat option available on the website and clicked on it. She expected to get a message saying to try back during normal business hours since this was 11 o'clock at night but nope, a very nice representative answered her little chat window and answered mom's question. Mom was very impressed with this. So...now we were all set with our order and placed it Saturday evening. By Wednesday morning the doorbell rang and we had two boxes from Mr. Chewy.





Of course they had to make us sit pretty in front of our mail. Don't they know we just want to open it already? Geesh!

So...in summing this review up. Bokeh's agility

Bokeh is coming along nicely in his agility training as well. There for awhile he didn't want to jump over the jumps. Imagine that, the dog that jumps 6' in the air for a disc didn't want to jump an agility jump. But this is his 3rd run through at the club and he is looking much nicer.

I have a new friend & Pet Insurance?

As you know I just LOVE puppies. Well, our friend at the training club just got a new puppy. He is a Mudi. Have you ever heard of that breed before? I guess it is a Hungarian herding breed. Seems similar to a border collie but is a bit smaller. He sure was cute and we liked to bark at each other.



So mom is super sad. She received a letter from Trupanion indicating that our Pet Insurance premium is going up. Mom understands that businesses need to raise prices but this is going up by $45 a month. We can't afford that so we need to look into some more affordable Pet Insurance companies. Do any of you have Pet Insurance and if so who is it through and what do you think of them?

Went to the park

The weather here has been so nice this winter. We went to the park the other day and had some fun.

Weimaraner Wednesday

Mom is busy helping out the rescue. They are getting ready for their 5th Annual Weim & Cheese event. The rescue can use any donations to help raise money for the rescue. The rescue only has one big fundraiser a year so we like to make it a big one.

Happy Valentine's Day

So today is the big Valentine's Day Pawty. Fenris asked me to be his date for the pawty. Fenris was so sweet he knew how busy my family has been with the loss of our Grandpa so he went and picked me up a dress. How sweet was that?

Bokeh's 2nd run

A few weeks ago Bokeh had his first run through at the club. You can see the video by clicking the blue link.

Well, after a few agility classes he had his second run though and there was a huge improvement. Be sure to watch the end as everyone laughs at Bokeh.
