As you know I just LOVE puppies. Well, our friend at the training club just got a new puppy. He is a Mudi. Have you ever heard of that breed before? I guess it is a Hungarian herding breed. Seems similar to a border collie but is a bit smaller. He sure was cute and we liked to bark at each other.
So mom is super sad. She received a letter from Trupanion indicating that our Pet Insurance premium is going up. Mom understands that businesses need to raise prices but this is going up by $45 a month. We can't afford that so we need to look into some more affordable Pet Insurance companies. Do any of you have Pet Insurance and if so who is it through and what do you think of them?
Aww, what a cute puppy! We had a Mudi in our agility class! She was great!
ReplyDeleteHey Sagira!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a cutie...you and the pup both! Sounds like you had a lot to talk about. Never heard of a Mudi before. Your tail sure is happy to see that little guy! BOL.

We use healthy paws pet insurace and it is $42 for Indiana and Onyx, so that probably doesn't help :(
ReplyDeleteCute puppy! We don't have pet insurance yet, but please share your findings

Cute pup and very happy. We don't have pet insurance so I guess I am no help with that. I hope you find something that will work for you.

We hope you find a decent-priced alternative pet insurance. We hate the way most of these companies are about huge premiums and then trying to get out of paying anything out. ever.
ReplyDeleteMUDI??? New to Me.. I don't have insurance... butt will be very much GLAD to hear what everybuddy says about it.
ReplyDeleteYour little friend is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteCute cute cute!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Maxx
The puppy is cute. We used to have pet insurance, but when we got to 10 years old it more than doubled, so mum cancelled it. We can understand it going up when you get older, but mum has never claimed on it, and more than doubling is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute puppy!
ReplyDeleteI had a sickly kitteh for awhile and considered getting some. My vet at the time told me that they didn't typically pay well and that most vets wouldn't accept it, including him. Never looked into after that.
Not familiar with that puppy's breed; I am going to make momma do some research.
ReplyDeleteSomeone told dad that if you just set up a special savings account and put the same amount as you would pay for a premium in each month, that you would make out better in an emergency than with insurance which typically has very limited coverage.
We recently have our first ever pet insurance company and I'm considering it now.

ReplyDeleteWe don't have any pet insurance, we looked into it once when Charybdis was still alive but a lot of them didn't cover birth defects or problems a specific breed was known for. Our vet does something called Care Credit

Mudi is a cutie, a bit barky too:)
ReplyDeleteWe don't have pet insurance either. Like the WDA, we hear it makes more sense to have a dedicated savings account that you put those premium payments in AND ONLY touch for out of the ordinary vet bills.

What a cute little guy! We've never heard of that breed!
ReplyDeletePlay bows,

That cute pup sure likes to talk! You might consider putting a higher deductible on your pet insurance so that it is still there for the emergencies but your premium will be less.
ReplyDeletei has VPI pet insurance and I have no problems wif it. Mine runs us about 35 dollars a month and included cancer coverage. ($50 deductible per injury/illness and 80-90% coverage after that. I didn't need knee surgery but if I had it would have been worth it all.
