Bokeh's first bath

So...Bokeh was kind of dirty and needed a bath. Oh geesh...what an experience that was for him. We tried to give him treats and praise him and let him know he was okay but he still made it sound like we were killing him. By the time mom and dad opened the door all us dogs were there checking to make sure we still had a baby brother because he sure did squeal like he was being killed.

We got some snow over night. The School district we live in (Crooksville) was on a 2 hour delay...
I'm thinkin it is toooooooo early fur it to be as cold as a squirrel's heart.

  2. Poor Bokeh but we all have to go through baths some day so he might as well learn how to now! :)

  3. Awwwww!! How sweet!! Bokeh was probably scared like Holly was when she got her first bath (and peed in the water!). She is so beautiful and makes me want a puppy!!! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

  4. It is always so funny to us that so many dogs don't like baths - we thought that was just a cat thing (at least that is what our mom tells us). It is too bad that he hated the bath so much but hopefully he will start to like them better!

  7. Yesterday was bath day for Ellie too! Sounds like he's not one of those dogs that immediately takes to water :)

  8. Sometimes that first one isn't good -- but I know it will get better with time. Now he smells good and is all fluffy! He may think -- hey, that wasn't so bad after all....

  9. Puppies DO get pretty stinky! The first bath can sometimes be pretty scary but I bet he enjoyed the attention of getting dried and brushed out!

  10. Somehow we think Bokeh liked chasing the frisbee a lot better than getting a bath. But the hugs and brushing and loving after must have been nice.

  12. OOOH NOOOOOO he probably worked sooo hard to get his smell just the way he liked it and then you had to go and wash him....poor little guy, LOL, my dogs know how hard it is to get that certain smell that humans dont seem to appreciate!

  14. A fresh and clean and smell-good puppy is back at last! Glad he's still alive after the bath because I really want to play with him too. He is just as cute and playful as Ashley!
