New collar and leash

Remember the company I told you about that donate so many collars and leashes to mom's rescue? Well, mom found them because she purchased a collar and leash for me and a collar for Bokeh.

Mine says LOVE on it

Bokeh's is hard to see because of all his long white furs...but it says "Born To Raise Hell"...yep that one fits him. BOL

Anyhoo, they are a great company. You should check them out HERE

Weimaraner Wednesday

More donations are rolling in for Louisville Weimaraner Rescue's 5th Annual Weim and Cheese event.

Mom bought Bokeh and I a new collar and leash made by this company called Buckle Down. They are really cool, the clasp part is actually like a seatbelt buckle. Well, anyhoo....they had a contact on their tags so mom thought she would ask them if they would donate and guess what...they sent a HUGE donation. They sent us 14 collars and 8 leashes.

Photobucket

The leashes, don't you just love the "I LOVE BACON" one? BOL

We also received a really nice donation from Furminator. They donated a medium and large Furminator and 2 bottles of the solution.

Also, don't forget about my contest. If you post about the 5th Annual Weim and Cheese on your blog and get us a donation we will enter you for a prize or a donation to a rescue of your choice. Please spread the word. More details can be found HERE

Last part of the Missouri Trip

So we planned to leave bright and early Saturday morning and everyone talked us into staying a little later so we could show Bokeh in the conformation ring. Bokeh is fixed so we entered him in the Altered division.

Missouri Trip Part 6

On Friday it was Obedience, Rally and Acrobatics day. Bokeh entered the Rally competition so he could compete in the Extreme Aussie Games (EAG). EAG is a game from the events where you have to get 3 Q's in performance events and then whoever has the best scores is the winner. So Bokeh got a Q in Agility, Disc Dog and only needed Rally to be in the running for EAG.

Bokeh never even practiced rally EVER! So here is his Rally debut:

Out of 210 possible points, Bokeh got 205. Not bad for his first time and all the point reductions were for dad having a tight leash. Bad dadster! So Bokeh got a Q in Rally and his first leg towards a Rally Title.

After all these events we went to the motel. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper and was ready go home. Mom's friends said I look all husky in this photo. BOL

Bokeh tried to comfort me, but I just wanted to go home.

We also met some other fellow Wigglebutts from the same breeder as Bokeh.

This is Danny:

and Danny's son, Jack. Jack was a big boy like Bokeh

After Obedience and Rally they did acrobatics. This is kind of like Bokeh does in Freestyle Disc but without a frisbee and dogs have to dress up.

Missouri Trip Part 5

The next performance event of the day was the Dock Diving. Neither Bokeh or I did the dock diving, we like to swim but not dive off the dock so we watched the others do this one. One of the aussies kept diving in head first, it was funny.

We also ran into one of dad's disc dog friends Tracy Custer. She is a professional disc dogger and she actually works at Purina Farms. She was there practicing Dock Diving with one of her dogs.

Missouri Trip Part 4

The second event of the performance day was Disc Dog events. First up they had Toss and Fetch. In Toss and Fetch you have one minute to get as many points as possible. You get points by how far you throw it, if you are in the bonus circle and 1/2 point if you catch it with your feet in the air. Here is Bokeh's first round of Toss and Fetch

This is his second round of Toss and Fetch

Bokeh got 2nd place in Toss and Fetch.

Up next was Freestyle. Here was Bokeh's routine.

He got 1st place in Freestyle. Go Bokeh!

Up next was Distance and Accuracy. This is where you have 3 minutes. The person/dog team with the longest catch wins. Bokeh got 2nd place and only missed 1st place by just 8 inches. Bokeh's catch was over 40 yards.

He did awesome in the disc dog competitions and we are very proud of him.

Missouri Trip Part 3

So Thursday at Mini Nationals was "performance" day. We had Agility, Disc Dog and Dock Diving all going on the same day. First up was Agility. This is Bokeh's very first debut in agility competition. He did really good and got 1st place in the 20" division. This was his first run. Wasn't the best because he had to POOP! haha...Silly boy always has to poop.

This was Bokeh's second run, much better now that he pooped! BOL

His third run of the day was in Tunnelers. He got first place 20" for this.

Dad let me play agility to even though I wasn't an Aussie. But we didn't take any prizes since I compete already in agility and most of the people doing it never done it before.

Here is my second run

One last thing I wanted to share with you. This was Drew and his first time doing agility. He didn't want to go in the tunnel and decided to walk on top of it instead.
