Happy Halloween to all my blog pals as well. :)
Saturday morning we woke up and got ready to head over to the park where the world finals were being held. We arrived and got our tent all set up. We had a small problem though...Bokeh wouldn't poop. He hadn't pooped in over 24 hours and mom and dad were getting a little concerned. Finally about an hour or so before Bokeh performed he finally pooped. Right before he went in the ring dad pottied him again and he peed 3 times. So...of all the things that could go wrong at the world finald we never though Bokeh would poop in the ring during his routine but....as you can see by the video below Bokeh decided that two minutes of the day was the perfect time to poop again. Dad was heartbroken as he has been working so hard with Bokeh for months prior preparing for this. The USDDN doesn't play when it comes to going potty in the ring so time got stopped and Bokeh only got judged on one minute of his routine and also had 5 points deducted from his score. Poor Bokeh and dad. Dad kept his chin up and said it was still an honor just to be invited. We got to watch the disc dog people we have seen and admired through You Tube in real life and it was AWESOME!
Before the events began they had the Boyscouts present the flag
Here is the video of Bokeh's Poopformance BOL!
Started our by having a players meeting on Saturday morning and then they did a group photo. These are all the people who were invited to compete at the USDDN World Finals.
We met people from all over the world. There were people there from the USA, Japan, China, Czech Republic, Greece, Poland, etc. Everyone was so kind and cheering on each other. The people from Japan were just truly amazing. Their throws were always spot on and their dogs were just amazing.
Check back tomorrow for more from our big trip.
Grandma is having her surgery today. We told momster to give her a hug from us since we can't go see her yet.
Also, mom's mom is having a big surgery (bypass) on Thursday. Please send her some good thoughts and healing purrs and paws. Momster is super worried.
Here is my demo doing agility for the kids:
This is dad and Bokeh putting on a disc dog demo:
This was a HUGE festival with lots of rides, horse racing and more.
Check back tomorrow for Bokeh's favorite part of the demo.
So many cute puppies, our friend just had a beautiful litter of Weim pups See them here and Kathy keeps posting videos of an adorable Border Collie litter on Facebook. Mom says she has major puppy fever. HELP!!!!!
Momster is trying to be good and wait until 2015 to add to our family. Don't know if she will make it that long or not. Wish us luck.
and this was my Jumpers run on Sunday and thiw was ALL dad's fault. He slowed me down to make sure I did my weaves correctly (which I did) and then at the very end dad was worried about falling and pushed me around the jump. I can't blame him though as we just watched 3 people in front of us fall at that spot. EEK! Dad might have to start wearing a helmet, BOL
Well, the weekend didn't go to well. This was my worst weekend as far as Q's go (0 for 4) however mom and dad are still very proud of me and the way I ran. They said I ran really fast and was having fun. But for some reason I wasn't able to do my weave poles each time. I was skipping a pole. Dad seems to think it was the dirt floor and with over 100 dogs running on it before me it became like sand and I lost my footing. Some people seem to think I might be a little "stiff" and need a message or an adjustment so mom has contacted 2 people that she really trust and has quotes on how much those things will cost.
Here is my standard run from Saturday. Course time was 67 seconds and I can in well under that time. Just messed up my weaves.
and her is my Jumpers Course. Dad was super happy with my speed since the trial was little dogs to big dogs and we were there all day and didn't run my last run until about 4:00. Usually by that time I am slowed down and not wanting to run real fast but again I came in under course time just messed up the weaves.
Any of my agility friends have any suggestions on what they think the problem was with the weaves? We would love to hear your thoughts. :)
Mom says that Bokeh did even better at this visit. He wasn't as nervous (neither were mom and dad). They made the visits in each room short and sweet. Bokeh loved the nurses petting him and giving him attention. I think he is going to like this therapy thing once he gets used to the hospital environment.
Second run was my jumpers with weaves. I did great on this run, earned a Q and 5 more MACH points. Now I only need 2 more legs to earn my MXJ title. WHOO HOO (oh and I got to pick out another toy from the toybox, yipee!)
After that was over we went to my Jumpers with Weaves set and mom and dad didn't think I would make time, it was 39 seconds. Hmpf! They give me no credit. I made it in time (so what if I only have 4/10th of a second to spare) and got a Q. WHOO HOO! So I got to pick out a toy from the toybox. I picked out the squeaky ant.
