Bokeh went to his first
Agility Ability session a few weeks ago. He loves kids and has a lot of energy so we though this would be perfect for him. Bokeh is working with autistic children who teach him agility. It is a really great program to get the kids up, moving, speaking and involved with the dogs. Bokeh did GREAT his first time there. He was paired with with adorable Sophia. She loved Bokeh and he loved the popcorn the kids feed as treats. After the session was over they asked Jeremy to do a disc dog demo with Bokeh. The kids loved it and each got to take a turn throwing the disc to Bokeh.

Sophia doing a great job teaching Bokeh
Some of the kids taking a turn throwing the disc to Bokeh
He couldn't wait for the next person in line to throw it
As a thank you to us we received a new leash made by the awesome Fleecy Paws (she donated to Weim and Cheese as well)
The leash says Agility Ability on it
Can't wait for the next session to work with the kids again
That was so nice and great leash too!!
ReplyDeleteThe coons are animals too and the area behind us has built up so much that the coons can not make a good living for them selves out there any more. They need help now.
Zoie is really hard to take a picture of!!!!! I have to work at it!!!
That's one cool leash and Bokeh looks stunning with it on!
ReplyDeleteI bet the kids loved Bokeh dearly too!
That is an amazing gift you we're able to give those children. Kudos to you and Bokeh.
ReplyDeleteSigh. YOu guys seriously slay me with all you do not just with your dogs, but with the community and people who are in need of social connection. Such good peeps and dogs. When I come back in life, I want to be a member of your doggie pack, ok? Just let me know which line to stand in at the Karma area...
ReplyDeleteWow, that's such a great way to have pooches and mini two leggers enjoy each other! Everyone has fun that way. Great pix of all the action.

What a fantastic program! I have an autistic nephew who lives with us and the WDA has made such a difference in his life. Thank you for lending Bokeh to kids who otherwise might never feel the soft fur and sense the loving understanding of a pup. You are changing lives.
