So a bunch of bloggers are posting their adoption stories today and I thought that I would join in the fun.
You see...I came from the Meigs County Animal Shelter. This very nice lady named Lesley
was at the animal shelter to save another dogs life. She was the president of the rescue group that mom volunteered for. While she was at the shelter they asked her if she would take a litter of puppies. (can you figure out which one I am?)
So Lesley agreed to take us. Lesley took us to her house and took some photos. She sent them to the volunteers and this is the first picture mom ever saw of me.
Mom fell in love immediately. She told dad about me but he wasn't interested because we just got rid of our last foster and he likes to take a break in between.
Well...mom went out to the kennel to learn how to microchip a dog. Guess who was there and needed a microchip? Yep! Me and my two brothers and sister. Mom held us all as we got micro chipped because mom couldn't make herself stick the needled through our skin. My whole litter was a bunch of cry babies and carried on like someone was murdering us. Mom loved the way I felt in her arms.
She finally talked dad into fostering me. It is funny because talking to Lesley later on we found out that she had applications for me but told them I was spoken for because she knew before mom and dad did that I wasn't going anywhere. Mom and dad made it official and decided they couldn't live without me. I mean how could they?
And that is how we became one big happy family
I hope all my friends are having a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Of course, one look at that baby picture of you and we understood. NOBODY could have resisted you, Sagira!!!!
