Tempest turned 12 weeks old on Tuesday. She is a little stinker and these Kong pictures are definitely much harder to do than they were with Bokeh.

Getting ready

Bokeh has been working hard preparing for his first trial, which we hope to get him into in April. We got him registered as an official Aussie with the AKC so we are ready to roll. Our training club had a day where the Novice dogs got to come in and do their thing with pretend workers in the ring. Bokeh of course had to run and say hi to one of the workers, oops! haha.

Agility Trial

I had another agility trial this weekend and I ROCKED it! I had a BEAUTIFUL Standard run first thing in the morning. I came in 11 seconds under course time and got a Q.

and here is my Jumpers course. I got a Q by the skin of my teeth. Course time was 43 seconds and I ran it in 42.88 seconds, phew....I had to play it close to keep momster on her toes.

So...I now have 2 more Q's needed to earn my MX title. I have 4 QQ (need 20 for my MACH) and 109 MACH points (need 750).

Tempie got to go to the trial with us and oh boy, did she have fun kissing and cuddling with LOTS of new people.

Normally momster wouldn't let me post a picture this bad of her...but she said it was too funny not to share. So, I started out laying on the love seat. Then my sister Starr came and laid next to me. Dad was on the computer doing pictures so mom sat down for a few minutes to wait on the computer. Tempest then got sleepy so mom picked her up to cuddle. I guess Bokeh felt left out because a moment later he jumped up on mom as well. BOL...isn't that funny?

You guys will not believe what mom did...she really screwed up BIG time and I think I might just have to fire her. Good help is so hard to find now a days...

So, I have been working towards my next level of agility titles the MX and MXJ titles (masters level). Mom said that I needed 2 more legs (qualifying scores) before I earned my MXJ (it takes 10 to get the title). Well I got one of those legs on December 29th. So mom thought that I needed one more and could possibly earn my MXJ this coming Saturday. Guess what we got in the mail? My certificate that I earned my MXJ title on December 29th. Momster screwed up her count and we didn't get to celebrate my title or get a picture with the judge. I have pictures with all my judges that I earned a title under. Way to go mom! Mom feels horrible and apologized time and time again and said that she promised to start a spreadsheet to make sure this never ever happens again. I guess I will have to forgive her this time.

Here I am with my MXJ certificate. I am now a master jumper. WHOO HOO! So now you can just call me Sagira, NF, AX, MXJ, TN-N.

My MACH countdown is I have 3 QQ (need 20) and I have 98 MACH points (need 750). Might get a MACH before I retire after all.

Wordless Wednesday

10 and 11 weeks

Playing catch up so you get 2 weeks in a row. Tempest is actually 11 weeks old today so we are now caught up on her weekly photos. She did a lot of growing because last Saturday when we had her at the disc dog event our friend let us borrow 2 harnesses, one was WAY to big and it fit her this Saturday. That is a whole lot of growing.

10 weeks - mom says she can tell Tempie is growing like a week. Her collar had to be adjusted. She is growing up way too fast.

Dad's mom came to see Tempest the day after we picked her up. Tempie fell asleep in her arms.... AWWWW!

VET

Tempest went to the vet for the first time a week ago Thursday. She received her second set of puppy vaccines and got weighed. She weighed in at 8.3 pounds. But I bet she is already over 10 by now. She is growing like a little weed. She wasn't stressed out at all at the vets and actually fell asleep. She also got a microchip put in just in case she ever gets lost.

Puppy Pics

So on January 1st we went out to Tempest breeder's house to take photos of the litter of puppies. Should have known this would be too tempting for Jeremy. He loves Lucy (Tempie's mom) and Cappy (Tempie's dad) and has always wanted a red border collie. So we went out to take pictures and then came home and thought about it and decided to make Tempie part of our family.

9 weeks

Tempest is 10 weeks old today but we are a week behind on editing pictures so....here she is at 9 weeks old. We decided to do the growth pictures like we did with Bokeh.

Her name

I just realized that I never told you her name officially. Our puppies new name is: Calm Before the Storm (that is her registered name). We will be calling her Tempest or Tempie.

and yes...we have had people already ask about Tempest in the Teapot....well check back for this photo to come. :)

JAMuary

Yesterday we all packed up and headed to Sharonville, Ohio for Southern Ohio Flying K9s event called JAMuary. Bokeh got to compete. Bokeh didn't win anything but he played all day and didn't poop in the ring so we are considering that a WIN in our book. Very proud of how Bokeh and Jeremy performed.

Here is Bokeh doing his 4 - 20 routine. They get 4 dics and have 20 seconds to show what they can do.

and here is Bokeh doing his toss and fetch round. They have a certain amount of time and have to catch as many as they can. They have bonus zones at the end and get extra points if they catch it with their feet in the air (Bokeh doesn't have a problem with this, he loves jumping).

Tempest got to go with us. Everyone was loving her and borrowing her to play with her. She had a busy day and was crashed by the time we were ready to leave.

Frisbee Friday

Getting Tempest started early. She is only 8.5 weeks and already starting to learn the game of playing disc. I think she is going to really enjoy it.

My 1,000th post with some HUGE news

OMD....this is my 1,000th post! How exciting and I can't think of any better way than to have a HUGE 1,000th post by introducing you to my new SISTER! OMD....can you believe it? Momster gave in and dad now has a red border collie that he has always wanted.

One of my new toys that I received for getting a Q in my last agility trial. If you can't tell, I LOVE squeaky toys. Mom says I'm sending some kind of squeaky code signals out.

More Pressies

Mom and dad made us wait all the way until Christmas day to open our pressies that Frankie and Ernie gave to us last time we saw them. Can you believe that? Geesh! Here is video of us opening them. (Starr was being a toy hog)

Weimaraner Wednesday

Several weeks ago mom and dad took Starr to a hunting trial. Our blog friends, Savi and Jam and Hot Dog Junie's mom from NJ were visiting OH and competing in the trial. Momster said it was only an hour away and wanted to go see our friends. I didn't get to go because I am sound sensitive and they were shooting guns there so mom knew it wouldn't be good for me. She made Bokeh stay home with me so I wouldn't be by myself.

Starr was so happy to go somewhere with mom and dad and was happy to see our friends from NJ. Savi was amazing out in the field and actually earned her Senior hunting title while we were there. Way to go Savi!

New Harness

Dad did some photos for the super nice owners of Brilliant K9. As a thank you for dad's time and photography skills they gave us a new harness for Bokeh. These are similar to the Julius K9 harness but they are made by our friends over at Brilliant K9. They have made improvements to them. These are a little thinner and easier to move around in. They also are more water resistant than the Julius K9 harness. They have added reflective all the way around the harness so us pups can be see in the dark. They also moved the strap that goes underneath a little further back so they are not rubbing our armpit area. We are loving the new style harness and hope that some of you will go check out their website. They are super nice ladies and a local small business right here in Ohio.
