Weimaraner Wednesday

So you may remember a few weekends ago we had a big Weimaraner meet up at the dog park here in Columbus. Starr and I got to attend. It was a lot of fun even though I felt a big out of place since I am not gray and all, but that is okay. The Weims are a lot of fun to play with. My mom has a huge heart for Weims and volunteers for Louisville Weimaraner Rescue

Warning *TONS* of photos to come

This is my friend Storm. She came all the way from WV for the meet up. Storm is starting to get into agility like me.

This is Daisy, she was very tired but didn't want to drop her tennis ball

Isn't she cute?

This was a cute puppy that was there. I love puppies and wanted to play with this one nonstop.

We thought this one was funny. A Poodle, but it had a mohawk.

And this is Annie, she has a blog on here to and came from mom's rescue

My sister Starr is so spoiled. She only likes to drink bottled water when we are at the park. Our friend Scarlet came in for a drink to and I am there waiting patiently for my turn

Look at all these gray wiggle butts! We tried to count and think we had about 22 show up this year.

Meeting Ricky

This weekend at the trial I got to meet one of my blog pals, Ricky. A funny story comes with this meeting. So I never met Ricky or his mom in person, have only seen videos and photos on the blog. My mom went up to this lady who kind of looked like Ricky's mom and had a sheltie that looked like Ricky, only a bit bigger. She said are you Ricky's mom and the lady shook her head yes. Mom introduced herself and dad to the lady and told them that I was over there and pointed over to me in my crate getting rest before my run. Mom told her it was nice to meet her and said maybe later we can go out and get a photo for our blogs and the lady said okay.

So...we all go out to get some lunch, come back and mom and I are still sitting in the AC trying to cool off a bit and dad points to this other lady with a sheltie. Mom waves and is like okay. So then she decides to get out and the lady says this is Ricky. Mom must have given Ricky's mom the strangest look because in her mind she already met Ricky and his mom, but this wasn't her. Come to find out, mom went up to a complete stranger and was babbling on and the "wrong Ricky" probably had NO idea what she was going on and on about. So mom went up to wrong Ricky's mom and apologized and told her she isn't completely crazy. The other lady laughed and said it was okay she enjoys meeting new people anyway. Her dog's name was like Rigby or something so it could have been confused in a loud venue.

Ahh...mom is still laughing about the mix up but was happy to meet the right Ricky. Him and his mom were very nice.

This is the right Ricky

Isn't he cute?

Day 2 of the Trial is now over

Phew....after a very hot weekend we are finally home and back in our air conditioned house. Don't think we will be doing anymore trials in a hot building without air moving or more fans going.

Sagira is resting up from her busy weekend. Just wanted to update you on her trial today. Her first run was Novice Fast. She earned her 51 points in just 17 seconds and earned 3rd place with a Q. This is more like Sagira, was early and not so hot and she was moving fast.

After that we had to wait several hours before her next run. Next up was her Excellent class Standard run. For those of you that don't know about agility, excellent class is the highest level you can get to. You are not allowed any mistakes, you have to earn 100% in order to qualify. Sagira pulled through even though she was hot and did awesome, she got her very first Q in excellent AND also got 3rd place. Not bad for a little ol mixed breed competing against some of those border collies (they are SO fast). We are not expecting many placements since she jumps 20" and is up against all the border collies, but we were beyond excited when she got her first Q in excellent and a ribbon.

Her last run of the day and in the hottest part of the arena she had her Jumper With Weaves (JWW) run. She also got yet another Q and 3rd place. She gave it all she had.

So all in all she had 6 runs this weekend and got Q's in 5 of those runs. We are SO very proud of our girl (and Jeremy).

Here is a photo of Sagira with her dad and the judge that judged her Open Standard yesterday that earned her the OA title.

Photobucket

We are on vacation all week, so Sagira is going to be having a blast at the dog park and just relaxing around the house. I also see a trip to Moochie's to pick out a new toy for doing so awesome this weekend.

Day 1 of Trial

Day 1 of the trial is now in the books. Sagira is busy resting up for another big day tomorrow. She did really good today, we are very proud of our girl.

Her first run was in Novice Fast. This was her very first time running fast. In this division you have to earn 50 points in a certain amount of time. Everyone told us to go in get your points and get out. Jeremy made the mistake of trying to get a few extra points and ran 2 seconds over time, but she ended up with exactly 50 points. She has a qualified run (Q) and earned 3rd place.

Her second run of the day was her Open Standard run. This was for her chance to earn her OA title. Our girl did not let us down. She went in like a trooper. She did go off course once, but I think just about every dog in this class went through the chute instead of the tunnel so she wasn't the only one. It was a hard turn. She was allowed 1 off course and was able to still get her Q and earned a 2nd place ribbon. She did go a little over time on this one as well. So Sagira now has 3 AKC titles, NA, NAJ and OA.

Her last run of the day didn't go as well, but that is okay. We were stuck inside a very hot building with NO A/C or fans running. It was just so hot in there and she was so tired by the end of the day. She didn't go off course, but did refuse the triple jump 2 times. She was also very slow moving and went over course time which caused her not to qualify. But that is okay, we will take 2 out of 3.

I can't believe that she is moving up to Excellent class tomorrow. That is where the big boys are. We were welcomed to eternity today. :)

We also met Ricky today. We have a funny story to tell you about that and will post a pic of Sagira with Ricky soon.

Friday Flashback

Mom and I have a great time doing Friday Flashback because we get to look through all of my old puppy pics and remember just how little I was and how much I have changed.

This is one of me with one of my first toys.

Photobucket

I have a trial tomorrow and Sunday. Ricky (one of my blog friends) is supposed to be at the trial too, so I might get to meet a blog friend in real life. If we do, we will take a pics of all our friends to see. Wish us luck! I might earn my OA or OAJ title this weekend.

Fun in the water

Grandma and Grandpa were here to visit yesterday for Father's day. Dad wanted to show them how much fun I have playing in the water. Grandma was getting a kick out of me trying to drink all the water.

Off to agility class. I am finally getting my groove back. I kind of slowed down for a little, I think I was a bit burnt out, but I am back and ready to roll. Dad said we have a chance to earn 2 more titles this coming weekend, so practice, practice, practice.

Slobberfest

Wow, that a busy weekend. First of all, Happy Father's day to all the dads out there (even if your kids have four feet instead of two).

Saturday we went to Slobberfest. Starr and I got in the baby pools and were splashing around.

After Slobberfest was over we headed to the dog park for a Weimaraner meet up. There were about 20 Weims that showed up. It was fun running with all the gray wiggle butts.

Also...we had lots of company today. Both sets of Grandparents came here for a cookout. I got yummy pieces of hamburger and hotdogs. Pics to come soon, stay tuned.

Friday Flashback (A little graphic)

Oh boy...mom reminded me of what I used to do when I was little. Don't go any further if you get weak in the knees.

I used to lay in dad's under-roos when he was going potty. BOL....why on earth did I ever do that? Mom said she would like to see me try to do this now that I am all grown up. Silly mom...

Rescue Race

Wow...finally getting caught up on some of my photos. Dad stayed home with Starr yesterday and actually had time to get some of my pictures done for me.

We attended the Rescue Race Memorial day weekend. It was a lot of fun. My training club did demos and we got to show off some of our agility moves. Check us out.

On your mark...

Get set...

Go! Look at how many nice people showed up to raise money for the pups. Touches my heart when people do nice things.

Would also like to report that we are all back to better tummies. No more runny poo finally. This makes mom very happy. Samick is also starting to eat more again. Our friend Meredith brought him over some canned food to mix in with his dry and he loves it. It smells yummy, but mom says I can't have any because it is for Sam since he doesn't want to eat much anymore.
