VET

Saturday Bokeh and I had to go the vet. I had to get my acupuncture treatment and spinal adjustment done and Bokeh has a hot spot that was causing him a lot of pain. Dr. C told the parents that this should be my last acupuncture appointment for awhile. He feels I am really improving. He told them that my spine is moving really nicely and I don't seem to be in any discomfort. He said that I will still need to have adjustments done about every month and then once the adjustments take hold that will be cut back to every 2 months and then about twice a year. Both Dr. C and Dr. S feel I am ready to start trialing in agility again so watch out agility world, I am back and better than ever!

Dr. C had to shave a spot around Bokeh's bum to expose the hot spot so the parents can get the medicines on it and get him all healed up. The only thing we can think of that caused the hot spot was a change in food. Not the company just a different formala so Pet People was super nice and let the parents exchange his food for the old formula he used to eat. Bokeh is currently wearing the Cone of Shame and NOT a happy camper about it one bit.

Busy, busy

Yesterday morning Bokeh and I got to go bye bye with mom and dad. Bokeh made an appearance at Agility Ability . It is a WONDERFUL program where autistic children work with agility dogs and teach them to do agility. This was the end of their session and grauduation so they asked if Bokeh would come between the 2 classes on Saturday and do a disc dog demo. Of course we said YES! Momster doesn't have many good video clips because I (Sagira) was being bad and barking BOL during Bokeh's performance so momster had to walk me outside and we had to watch through the glass outside. But all the kids loved the demo and after the demo dadster let each kid through a disc to Bokeh and boy did Bokeh love that part of it.

Beginning of the demo (you can hear me barking and mom telling me to "shhh" and then turning off the video camera). It is fun being bad sometimes. :)

and here we are outside watching as Bokeh plays with each kid

After that we had to go to the VET. Will tell you more about that tomorrow.

Vacation

Last week mom and dad were on VACATION.... a much needed one. I have so much to tell you about the fun we had on vacation.

One of the things that happened during vacation was momster became a year older. Her niece and great nieces brought momster a cake that said Happy Birthday Aunt Chris on it. Wasn't that SO nice?

Chewy Review

Chewy.com asked us to do another review for them. This time we were asked to review Nature's Variety Instinct rawboost minis.

Here is how they will appear on the store shelf

When you open the box they come in a resealable bag (We really liked that part)

And this is what the treats look like up close

 photo E101_0755_zps028d72a3.jpg

A lot of our friends are starting to feed raw. These treats are great for people who feed a raw diet. These are freeze dried raw treats. We tried out the chicken flavor. The ingredients are: chicken (including ground chicken bone), turkey, turkey liver, turkey heart, pumpkinseeds, apples, carrots, butternut, squash, ground flaxseed, montmorillonite clay, broccoli, lettuce, spinach, dried kelp, apple cider vinegar, parsley, honey, salmon oil, mixed tocopherols, olive oil, rosemary extract, blueberries, alfalfa sprouts, permissions, inulin, rosemary, sage and clove. We know what all the ingredients are except a few we had to look up. Lots of good things in these treats to make you big and strong. :)

Each treat contains 2 calories so will help us keep our great figures as well. The treats are also made right here in the USA.

So the pros of these treats are:

Made in the USA
Lots of good ingredients without a bunch of fillers
Great for dogs who eat a raw diet as well
Only 2 calories per treat
Bag that can be sealed after you open it
Small and easy to use treats during training

The only con we could find is that since this is a raw food the box suggests the humans wash their hands after handling the treats.

We give them five paws up and would defiantly purchase these in the future for training.

Here is a video of us trying out the new treats.

Oh...one last thing. Louisville Weimaraner Rescue will receive a $20 donation for any NEW customers at Chewy.com making their first purchase if they just use this LINK HERE

In exchange for our review we did receive a free box of treats

Chewy.com is also having a monthly blogger give away. Here is your chance to win.
