Starr gets a Pedicure

So we began using the PediPaws on our dogs. At first they hated it, but now they actually sit still and let my husband do their nails.

Harley had to go to the vet. He was outside playing frisbee with Sagira and I think he forgets that he is 11 and can't keep up with a 1 year old. He started to limp and it wasn't getting any better so we took him in to see the doctor. They checked him out real good and said that it is just arthritis and that we need to start giving him pills daily to help him out a bit. Just sad that my baby is getting up there in age.

Keeping Cool

With as hot as it has been lately I decided to get the girls cooling vest. These are very nice and you just soak them with cold water and they stay wet for a few hours to help keep them cooled off. Starr's is a bit small but we are going to trade Michelle for a Large one instead. We had them on them at Slobberfest and they worked really well.

Sagira loves to play in the water

The in-laws gave us a new camera. We have been having fun playing around with it. The other day we had the dogs in the backyard and Sagira was chasing the water from the hose. I thought this one turned out pretty good and wanted to share....

K-9 Carnival & Slobberfest

Last weekend was a busy weekend. We went to Slobberfest. Slobberfest was kind of boring and not much going on, but somehow we ended up on the news. They filmed Sagira playing in the pool and Jeremy and I ended up in the shot as well. Link to the news story is here:

Look here.

Sunday we took the girls to the K-9 Carnival in Grove City. This one was better because it was more like a dog park and dogs could go swimming and stuff. We ran into Darla from our training club who is Sabine's guardian and also John who is Junior's guardian. Everyone seemed to have a good time.

Sagira kept taking this labs stick...oops!

Peanut Butter Fun

So we finished up a jar of Jif PB and decided to let the dogs all take a turn at cleaning it out. They had fun trying to get the stuff at the bottom and kept them busy for awhile.

Weekend is over

Samick is sad the weekend is over, as we all are. :(

Photobucket

When we got Sagira we said that she has learned something from each of our older dogs and I couldn't figure out what she learned from Samick. Well, until now. Samick ALWAYS hogs the air vents. Guess what we found Sagira doing with Samick?

Photobucket

Sagira has a little piece of each of my older dogs in her. We love our dogs so much.

On the news

We went to a local dog event today called "SLOBBERFEST". It was a decent event. Got a sample bag, entered the raffles, ran into some old friends. My boss and friend sent me a message to tell us they saw us on the news. I was like ACKKK! So I just watched the 11:00 news and sure enough we were on there. They taped Miss Sagira jumping in and out of the pool and then we got all of our leashes all tangled up so they of course got that part as well. No pictures unfortunately since I left the camera at my friends house last night.

Here are some pictures from the training club of a few of Sagira's friends.

Oscar, he is in Sagira's agility and weave pole classes and is a play buddy after classes.

Tomorrow will be another day of fun at the K-9 Carnival in Grove City. This time we will have our camera.

Agility Update

Sagira graduated her Level 2 agility class this week. Way to go Sagira!

Here is a video of her final test. She of course had to come say hi to me before doing her weaves, silly girl. She is also advancing to level 3 in her Weave pole class as well.

Pup-A-Palooza

We set up a both for Louisville Weimaraner Rescue yesterday at Pup-A-Palooza at Alum Creek Dog Park. It was a nice day, fun event with a nice turn out. There were a lot of Weims that showed up as well.

Our booth at the beginning of the day:

Lighthouse

First off, very sad news. My Grandpa passed away on May 20th. I was very close to him and this has been a very difficult time for me and my family. He was very active in our lives and lived with my parents for 44 years which means he helped raise me as I lived there for 20 years with him. He is an extremely special person and nobody will ever come close to him. WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH GRANDPA and miss you dearly.

We went to my parents to make sure they were doing okay. They live about 5 minutes from the lighthouse so we decided to take the dogs there. We received compliments from 3 different people about how well behaved our dogs were. Makes you feel good when someone goes out of their way to tell you that.
